Your post is actually what led me here. They look really good, love to see them refinished. Anyone have pics of Ronal R9s? They used to be all over my neighborhood on camaros and grand nationals growing up, now I cant find them.

I was looking at this car as a possible purchase last year. I couldn't figure out what kind of wheels were on it. I don't see those around anymore, but it flashed across my memory a magazine ad for these back in the seventies. I'm pretty certain they are Keystone mags.

Don't forget Cragar SS wheels. Popular in the 60's and still look good today. Someone should have photos of a 3rdGen with SS wheels

Re: Post pics of '80's vintage aftermarket wheels.
how about some old school centerlines with the fake knockoff center caps
sorry about the crappy pics i was drinking when i was polishing the wheels and well after a few hours of polishing and drinking my hands werent the steadiest lol
ahhh heres a better one
this one the front is satin/unpolished and i had just finished polishing the rear
i had to ditch the fake knockoff center caps though luckily they just unscrew form the center cap

Re: Post pics of '80's vintage aftermarket wheels.
These were popular in the 80s and marketed by different folks. I believe these are called "USA" wheels. They came on all of the Contempo conversions and were 16". That was big for the 80s when they were still selling new cars with 13s.

If I was at home, I could add a few pics of thirdgens on BBS RS wheels. That's a great 80's wheel...

Re: Post pics of '80's vintage aftermarket wheels.
I know this is thread is getting old, but in my search for tire recco's, I stumbled in and this is just a cool one that really tweaks the ol' memory bank. Also makes a guy feel pretty old!
Nevertheless, here are some pics of the mags that came on the '87 I just got last fall. No clue who the manufacturer is, but they're definitely nostalgic and TRUE directionals straight out of the '80's. All are 15x7, and the rears are dual bolt pattern (presumably for a Ford 9?).

Re: Post pics of '80's vintage aftermarket wheels.
Me? Ehhhh... not sure I'm gonna sell them. They are pretty freaking cool. Just trying to figure if I should powder them black, grey, or what? If the price was right, but not sure what someone would pay. I saw shr00m paid $400 back in 06, but I paid more than that, and these don't need spacers. PM me with any advise on pricing...

Re: Post pics of '80's vintage aftermarket wheels.
they are perfect in gold, making them black is the same as destroying them IMO. Gold mesh wheels, nothing better!
Don't have an idea on pricing and doubt my brakes would fit behind them but they sure are awesome wheels

Re: Post pics of '80's vintage aftermarket wheels.
I did sell these to my buddy in my local club... He has an amazing green 92 GTA, and a TTA, so either car of his that he ends up putting them on will look more appropriate than on either of my cars. Got love for the birds too

Re: Post pics of '80's vintage aftermarket wheels.
I do hunt ebay, CL, and such, but I had a customer I didn't even know had a thirdgen(scca race car) start talking about my cars, then one thing led to another I traded parts and cash, and got his old wheels.
