Hi guys, I bough a set of drag tires 30x12x15, I am planning to mount them on my camaro but what would be your recommendation? to cut the fender and make them wider or to go to the inside of the car? Help please!! I am from costa rica so I dont want to buy this tires because they are very rare.

 

this is a 29x13x15 tire

my GFX stopped me from going 30" tall. when checking what i could bolt on.

the sec width is over 13" wide on the 325 50 15(below) and has a larger footprint to the ground.
and has less of a sidewall baloon.



this shot shows how the tire tucks under..


unless you do mods under the car tires like this will not fit.

 

I have fit a 30x12.5x15 MT ET bias ply tire on a 10'' rim with 6.5 BS. Without mini tubs. Its tight without rubbing and I had to use NHRA cert. 1/4'' spacers.
Now I have 295/65/15 on the same rims and it is much better. I'll get a pic.

I just realized that it is not the size I wrote at the beginning of the post, the actual size is 29.5x13.5x15. with 10 inch rims.

 

Is it a slick or radial? and What brand?

They wont fit without rubbing.

It looks like they have very nice drag strips in Costa Rica .

 

On the attachments you can see my tires, and the red one is my goal... I want my baby to hit a wheelies jeje And no unfortunately we dont have nice strips in costa rica... we gotta go to the streets...
