Space saver spare tire P195/75D14
Anyone still have their original space saver spare and canister? Mine is missing and been replaced with a modern donut spare that sits in the middle of my trunk. Anyone know of an after market spare that will fit as the original design maybe use a tire inflator instead of a canister.

Re: Space saver spare tire P195/75D14
Mine has never been used. I would never try to use it now. I don't even know if the canister still has a charge in it. I read somewhere that the spares this old don't inflate correctly after all these years. I just make sure my tires are in great shape and I have 100 mile towing. I thought the modern donut spare wouldn't work with the J65 disc brakes?

I went on eBay and they're asking a fortune for an original spare tire. I measured the compartment it goes in and I can't figure how a spare can fit in there.

Thats good to know. I thought about airing mine up with my compressor just to see if it would fill right. It fits in the well just fine as long as its in the collapsed condition. I don't think it will fit with air in it.
