19" 9.5 TSW's need help
Ok I have read and read about offset and backspacing but I still not sure I understand correctly on the spacers size. I know the guru's of this place are tired of answering this question but before I go drop $2k on wheels I would rather annoy someone a little for the correct answer then buy the wrong stuff lol.
I plan on buying a 1989 Trans Am GTA and I would also like to purchase some TSW 18 or 19 inch snettertons for it. the offset on said wheels are 45mm all around and are 9.5 inches wide. Now according to everything I have looked at read and tried to figure out I need around a 1.7" or 2" wheel adaptor to make them fit just barely tucked/even with the fenders.
Can anyone please verify this for me or have pics of 45mm offset wheels.
Thanks,

The car I am buying is black and these are the wheels I plan on buying. I would like to paint them gold in the center to match the factory crosslace wheels that come with it.

TSW's look best with a dish. Good choice. I think they'll look nice.
I've been trying to find a set of the rockinghams without any luck.

Re: 19" 9.5 TSW's need help
A 9.5" wheels would want about a zero offset, or 5.25" of BS. Since they are 19's, you can use a little more if you want to tuck them a little better. Brake upgrades can change these numbers, so that needs to be addressed, but a spacer 45mm to about 40mm would be ideal. That's closer to your 1.7" spacer.
But like I tell most people, best way to know is to buy the wheel, place kit in the wheel well where you want it to be and measure back for the spacer.
Are those wheels available in the 5x120.65/4.75 bolt pattern or are they the 5x120 pattern? If they are 5x120 I would advise you get the proper adapters to convert the bolt pattern.
