Re: gta rim question
You will need more than 1/8. More like 1/4 or 5/16.
Spacers smaller that 1/4 really don't exsist, there are some thin ones out there listed as shims though.

Re: gta rim question
Mr gasket sells thin spacers that would work, but rear GTA's fit perfectly on the front of my car, with the tie rods only barely touching the wheel weights..

Re: gta rim question
Untill I read this thread a few days ago I did not relaize that 2 of my wheels have a differant offset. I had my car out last night and noticed it looked kinda funny. Well on the drivers side the rear wheel is on the front-front is on t he rear and it looks killer. When the PO had the new tires put on the shop put the wheel wights on the front lips-I'm going to change that at some point, but anyways I have no rubbing while driving unless I crack the wheel all the way to back out of a drive way. So this weekend I'm going to swap the passenger side wheels so both deeper wheels are on the rear. I do not like spcers so I'm going to see how it works out without them.

Re: gta rim question
Well last night I swapped the wheels on the passenger side so now I have both fronts on rear and rears on the front. So far neither wheels rubs, but i knew the drivers side did not as it already had the rear on the front. The wheel is very close to the tie rod and that part of the strut that sticks out, but not touching unless I go to full lock. I did not get to drive the car last night with both rears on the front as it was stomeing like crazy, but will take it for a spin this weekend. I hate spacers, but I might end up going with a 1/4" just to free up some space plus as some point I want to have the wheels weighted on the back so they look better and will need that space to clear the tie rod and strut. Over all I think the car looks much better and looks like it should instead of like an import drag car LOL!

Re: gta rim question
Well I took the car for a drive yesterday and there was a bit of rubbing on the passengers side front so I went and got 1/4" spacers and all is good not-the car looks great and drives great.

Re: gta rim question
The track width is increased the width of the rotor, about .22 to .25 inches

Re: gta rim question
I don't know how you guys are putting the rears on the front's without spacers, the wheels should be hitting the struts on the inside.

Re: gta rim question
On the drivers side of my car there was no rubbing with the rear on the front, but on the passenger side since there is a wheel weight on the rear of the wheel-it rubbed a bit on the tierod end-nothing ever touched the strut, but was very very close. Now with the 1/4" all is good and there is no rubbing even at full lock. I will never have the wheels the correct way again-just looks so dumb IMO-like a import drag car or something LOL!
