I didnt want to do any hammering, I was planning on tubs, but after more test fitting, 2" billet spacers and quite a bit of cutting they fit. I had to take out the front section of the well, and everything from the bump stops up to the top of the spring pocket. I am welding flat plat back into the spring pocket and the front of the well will be refabbed. from the inside its business as usual too which is what i wanted.
I am running the big 1.5"+ square tube lake wood lcas and I thought I wouldnt clear them with out a notch but i am good by about 3/8"
then again I did fab my 9" rear a total of 1" wider than stock too
took about an hour for the 1st side (drivers) to get it where it needed to be, then maybe 30 minutes for the passenger once I knew what to remove. tools involved: sawzall, 4.5 angle grinder with cutting and flap wheels, 3" high speed air cutter and a few various hand tools to bend the metal and create lips for welding the patches back in.
Very pumped for the fronts to get back. Still dont know how wide of tires I'll run up front, may just go with 245's but a 265 is tempting

So it's a total of 2.5in wider than stock on each side?

Just bought mine but still don't know what spacers I'll need. I guess I'll figure it out when they get here. You're running 2" with a 1" wider rear right?

So 2.5" spacers should put mine at the same place as yours?

That looks pretty trick. How do you think they would fit with a 4th LT1 gen rear under there? I have the same Lakewood LCAs under mine too, with a UMI double adjustable panhard bar. By the way the whole car is just gorgeous. Happy cruisin.

Those wheels look killer on there! The whole car is very stunning. Do you have a build thread or more pic somewhere else.
Damn Dave I knew we had the same wheels, but I had no clue you had that much rubber stuffed under the back end. I just put a 275 up front on mine, and was gonna replace the rears with a 295/35 out back like most people do, but now I need to look into a 305/35! Car looks amazing BTW
