These wheels are awesome in black, but I want them finished in bright silver with a chrome lip... except then you see all those holes in the middle. Do they make one without the multiple holes drilled in?

I've been looking at these exact same Rims lately....
I'd paint the center section Gold to match the GTA styling though...
Do you have any pictures with them mounted on your car yet?

Re: Getting XXR 521 on thursday
yea i have check that site out the issue is the company they been slowwing down production and there a high demand for them in the import world due to price and agressive fitment to make there cars sit flush that there are on backorder for a couple months and the only way that i seem too get a hold of xxr wheels is on the used market and there usally dont have out bolt pattern i had the 521 ordered and waiting for me to install then my head gasket blown and i took car to shop to rebuilt engine and trans and put couple thousand into it just to have car stripped down and they sold every part that can be unbolted including engine trans then i got the current camaro i have now but ive gave up on the xxr wheel because of that and the final draw was when i finally bought a pair of xxr wheels off some one but UPS decided to lose 3 out 4 rims "xxr 962" i had tires ready to put on and got off work early rushing home like a little kid on only one box was there so i just got a set of chrome irocs 16in but im now going to get zr1 wheels and paint them gunmetal i finally found for really good price and save up for some really good pair of wheels in the future because i havent had luck and im going to focus on other parts of car that been needing attention
so i have pretty bad luck in the wheel department and even more bad luck with the last camaro i had so my adventure with working on my camaros been really rough and disappointing this past year but theres little gains in how i want camaro to look and run so hopefully the future looks better lol

Re: Getting XXR 521 on thursday
Had wheels mounted with out tires but forgot to put memory card in lol
I have 1 inch clerance right now I want to move wheel a .25 to .5 inch in As my my wheel is sitting flush with fender edge but doesn't pass it
25lbs I believe not sure
Pics coming this weekend for sure with out tires still checking clerance I might get used 285/35 mounted on one to get a better mock up

25lbs? thats on the heavy side. Do they have a big lip? that may be why. you should weight them and see what they really are.

Re: Getting XXR 521 on thursday
Hmmm interesting that's what I've seen around the forum around 22-23lbs so who knows ive haven't weighed mines personally I have reproduction chrome irocs so Reproductions are always heavier then stock
19.5 Is light for 18x10.5 wheel Probably only notice a little difference in heavier wheel but the extra grip makes up for that lol
Thanks for the pm 86ta very helpful
87350iroc how heavy your wheels are ?
I was comparing tire weights of different tires and they vary from 1-4lbs pretty interesting if you really wanted to micromanage and attention to detail for lightest wheel tire combo

Re: Getting XXR 521 on thursday
ok i got some pics couldnt get a tire mounted but this is what i got
excuse the car being dirty lol it is a daily driver
front ride ride height looks high due to me being on a incline and not being level my car is much lower than that
im thinking of just running 1in spacer to tuck wheels a bit more i think it would be tight fit for front hub but it looks like it can move in .25 in more in
let me know if you see any issues ? with clearance

Re: Getting XXR 521 on thursday
Thanks those are with 1.25 spacer so I'm going to go with a 1 in and I think that would be perfect
To tuck them in a bit more
Your opinion ... I'm think about
color matching the front grill and headlight buckets and hood louvers to the wheels or carbon fiber ?

Fitment looks pretty tight, very flush. Do you think you will have to roll the fenders? Looks like it in the pictures. Also, whats your plan for center caps in the front? Wheels look great on there.

Re: Getting XXR 521 on thursday
I'm use a 1in spacer to move wheel in .25inch further the spacer I used was 1.25
If I use a .75 spacer I will have clerance issues with steering lock to lock
And have to bore out center bore of wheel
For center caps I'm thinking getting some custom ones made but have to find some one to do that tho as I don't know many people that do that type of stuff I'll ask my welder but I doubt he know anybody
Or I can play around with some fiberglass and add on to the center caps I have now

Keep in mind with the front that the wheels will tuck in a bit more when the suspension is loaded, maybe hold off on more spacers till you get the car on the ground with tires and see where you are at.
Also be sure that the front brake flex hoses are not going to rub the wheel/tire at full lock. They get close and you have have to tweak the bracket on the strut body a little for clearance.

Re: Getting XXR 521 on thursday
fake carbonfiber
I would pass on that I laugh when I see it on roofs of BMW's and other high end cars
I'm going to use real carbon fiber
http://compositeenvisions.com/carbon...weave-726.html
Do it right or don't do it at all
it is a budget build but the little details like emblems paint etc make a big difference and hopefully bring my car together as in it's present state it looks mediocre
I didn't have issues with brake hoses I did notice my wheels wernt fully at ride couldn't get suspension to fully compress

Color matching some parts would look good, but fake carbon fiber always looks like fake carbon fiber, so I would pass on that option.

Re: Getting XXR 521 on thursday
Once you get the tires mounted it will be much easier for you to determine potential clearance issues. Are you talking about custom center caps because the dust cap sticks out too far for you to put the ones that came with the wheel? Mine were like that but someone suggested just massaging the dust cap in until the center cap fits. No issues, and they do fit.
