Yeap! Lol 1/2 inch longer wheel studs and 5/8 spacers. Had to "massage" my fender wells but they fit great, and look good.

Hooks alittle better than my 275 did. But a 315 still cant hold the hp. Instead of spinning through 1,2, and hooking in third it just spins through 1st and half of 2nd.

VERY NICE! Love those wheels. What brand tire did you go with in the rear?

Re: 17x8 and 17x10.5 torque thrust m
I WANT!! How much "massaging" needed to be done?? Cut off the bump stops?
Been looking hard at those wheels for a while now, since my car is almost the same color....and after seeing them on your car, I REALLY want a set now. Those are the "anthacite" wheels right?
Any details you can give me is much appreciated!!![good job!](https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/images/smilies/goodjob.gif)
EDIT: Aslo, are you running stock or drop springs?? - love that look.

Were they 3/4" or 5/8"?? Is there a better offset/backspace to try on the front wheels so no modding is needed?...

Re: 17x8 and 17x10.5 torque thrust m
EDIT: I assume you are running this size on front:
-17 x 8 Bolt Circle 5 x 4-3/4 Rear Spacing 4.5 Offset 0mm
And for the rears:
-17 x 10.5 Bolt Pattern 5 x 4.75 Offset 44mm Rear Spacing 7-1/2
But they also have a 9" wide wheel:
- 17 x 9 Bolt Pattern 5 x 4.75 Offset 45mm Rear Spacing 6-3/4
If I chose to get the 9" for the rears, it seems I'd still need to use spacers, and I could get
P275/40/17 tires on them......right? But I don't believe they'd look near as nice as yours...
There's also 18's in that style, but I'm a little hesitant to go that big.....seems even more restrictive on wheel sizes also...if I did go that route, I'd have to go with this size on front:
- 18 x 9 Bolt Circle 5 x 120mm Rear Spacing 6.34 Offset 34mm
And these on back:
- 18 x 10 Bolt Pattern 5 x 4.75 Offset 24mm
Of course, I'm kinda assiming 5x120mm is the same as a 5x4.75 wheel pattern, and I'd have to run spacers up front...unsure if the rear 18x10's would even fit.....

Re: 17x8 and 17x10.5 torque thrust m
Can you take a picture from the side that isn't off to an angle and so low? Would like to see how they look from a side profile, I've long thought about getting some ttm's with black spokes at some point, also you didn't weigh them by chance did you? Or notice by feel how heavy they were compared to the stock rims?

Re: 17x8 and 17x10.5 torque thrust m
Car looks amazing! Those are the wheels I'm going with for my IROC.
Would 305/35's clear a little easier than the 315's?
And where did you get your spacers?
Thanks

Re: 17x8 and 17x10.5 torque thrust m
Man That looks great! You did my homework for me. I need soime serious traction upgrades for my 87 (383). I don't understand the backspacing and offset thing. Can you enlighten me on this? I'm trying to not make a $2000 mistake on rim choice.
I was "told" by a custom wheel shop I could put 17x9's and 275-40 NITTO NT05's on the rear with nothing sticking out, and 245-45 NT01's on the front. Have you tried this set up?
ALSO: How much torque is that monster making? I'm having the exact same traction issue (smoke through third) as you had. I'm trying to hook up about 500 FP. Have you tried weight? I have found a hundred pound tool box in the rear helps quite a bit.
(Southern traction bar)
