Do they make 255/50R16?
i have problerly the last pair of Futura ultra z tires in 255/50R16 they look awesome and preform just as well. My question is are there any tires in that size that are not crappy knock off brands. Falken has them but i have not heard of them has anyone here had any experience with there ziex ze-512
(and no i can not afford to run g-force drag radials plus they have no grip unless you do a big burn out and that is frowned upon in this state )

Re: Do they make 255/50R16?
Kumo has some nice 225/50/16s i cant spell the name but i believe that they start with an e or something like that, i ran them on my 302 boss equiped ranger and they griped extreamly well.
STAY AWAY FROM THE Falken ziex ze-512, yes the price catchs the eye cuz there cheap, but you get what you pay for.
I am currently running these tires out back on my camaro, and I had no grip at all with these tires with my old motor, with my new motor and set up i dont get power till around 2500 rpm so spinning off the line isnt a issue anymore. But with my old motor id spin even when not trying to, both tires where brand new and when the motor blew i had 700 miles on the tires, and you could still spin them over even with a blown motor and not trying to spin them.
I'd look and see what Kumo has to offer, cheap prices and sticky tires. I now regret not going with the kumos but i was broke and had to have 2 new tires that day.

This tire here is the widest I could find for 8 inch wide wheel.

The BFG 295/50R16 will fit a 3rd gen 16x8 just fine. Been there, done that. Not the grippiest tire out there, but good for a DD that needs to deal with all weather conditions.
Good for looks, but there are grippier tires in smaller widths out there, no doubt.
