how wide of a 18 inch wheel can you put in front?

how wide of a 18 inch wheel can you put in front?
yes i did a search and i could not find what i needed. so i will post this.
im planning on putting vette wheels on my car then when i can afford it i want to put ccw wheels. i have a lt1 rear and i want ls1/vette brakes on front.
my issue is that i dont want staggered wheels so i can rotate them to save money. so i want the widest possible for track day traction for the front and back.
so i guess i want to know with the vette wheels, how wide can i go in front? i think i need a 1.75 inch spacer?
then what about when i get the ccw wheels? how much backspacing will i need to be able to put them front and back and have wide wheels?
i guess i need to know tire size as well.
so far i think 10inch wide is the most?
and the issue with rubbing the plastic, that can be modified right?
please help me!
