those are the one of 2 18's available, the other ones are the steels with "beauty" rings- they are called the heritage wheels.. in other words, GM cheaped out..

Re: 3rd gen camaro with 5th gen wheels - pics
I've also been curious about 5thgen wheels on 3rdgens, so it's nice to see this thread with all the pics. I like them. But 20" is too large for my taste. And since a lot of other people have also expressed a preference for something smaller than 20", I thought I'd post pics of some smaller versions of the same style wheels.
There was a 19" x 8" version on 5thgen Camaros.
And before the 5thgen was born, Nissan had 18" x 8" and 18" x 8.5" versions on its 350Z. The Nissans have a 4.5" bolt pattern, but since spacers are probably necessary anyway, I'd think the spacer can also serve as an adapter to the 4.5" pattern.
Painted, polished, chrome... all seem to be available.
Edit: the first two pics are 19" 5thgen wheels, and the third pic is the 18" Nissan wheel. Both are the same style as the 20" 5thgen wheels in this thread, the only differences being the wheels' center hub designs. So these would look the same as the 20" wheels installed, just smaller alternatives to the 20" wheel.

I believe the wheels he is talking about come on a highly optioned LT model, such as the Synergy edition.

Re: 3rd gen camaro with 5th gen wheels - pics
So I need some stats on those 18" that look like the irocs. I found a set real cheap and they might let me make up for my 4th gen rear so I can slam my car. I have 18" american racing replicas and with the 4th gen rear I cant lower it.

Re: 3rd gen camaro with 5th gen wheels - pics
Finally got some newer pictures of my car sitting on the 5th gen wheels. With the 2" drop I get nothing but compliments even from old school hotrodders against big wheels. They all say the same thing pictures do not do it any justice, seeing it in person makes you really love the way they look on my car.
enjoy ill post more in the next few weeks.

Am I the only one that thinks these wheels don't match up with this car AT ALL?
Love the car and what you've done with it, but I'd rather be running stockers than those.

Re: 3rd gen camaro with 5th gen wheels - pics
it depends on the look your going for some of these thirdgens look like they just threw some camaro ss wheels on and called it a day other thirdgen look good due to the time spent into making it look right for the look they where going for no two thirdgen look the same with the same wheels they all have a different character but you can tell when people throw wheels on compared to some one that look at every detail to make the car look good with the wheels they pick
long story short i love the wheels they look good on a thirdgen when done right

Re: 3rd gen camaro with 5th gen wheels - pics
this is a very good example that shows how good they can look when you build a car from top too bottom
also
i think this is also a very good example needs to be a little lower and a paint job but it looks good to me
also wildridz looks pretty right on too could be lower hard to tell by pics rear looks high
the bigger the wheel size you go on a thirdgen the lower you need go to be able to pull it off with + 20inch wheels unless you want a 4x4 5 inch left to fit 30 inch wheels on a thirdgen then by all means go for the look you want

Re: 3rd gen camaro with 5th gen wheels - pics
i can prolly get stats on those for you when i go to work tomorrow... however, if you have found a set, i'd say grab them while they are available.. i still have yet to see a 5th gen roll through the dealership with them... since the first 5th gen rolled off the line, ive only seen 2 with anything other than the 20's come into the shop, and they were the heritage ones... its definitely hard to find...

Re: 3rd gen camaro with 5th gen wheels - pics
ill try to dig up some others ill attatch the only other one i found so far to this post. the little girl in the picture is the future proud driver and eventual owner of the car. im sure i have a ton at home somewhere. the issue is all my pictures recently are with my drag wheels and tires on.
and i kind of thought they looked like iroc wheels when i bought them. i love the look of them.
and to how it was done. i can briefly tell you in the pictures my fronts have a 3 inch spacer and my rear has no spacer with a 4th gen rear. i now have a stock width s60. so i have to get spacers for the rear.
im gonna go with 1.5 spacers in the rear and 2 inch up front to try and pull the wheels in a touch more.

Re: 3rd gen camaro with 5th gen wheels - pics
thanks i really like it.
it will go to 2 inch in the front the previous owner did the 3 inch in the front. personally they come to far out of the wheel well for my liking. and they also rub the inner fender when you turn sharp.
the rears have to go to 1.5 inch cause i have 3 inch long studs in the rear for my drag wheels. track rules require 3 threads to show threw the end of an open lug nut. so i am going to try a 1.5 inch spacer and then bolt the wheels to the same stud. 1.5 inches of stud should be fine for the lug nut to engage. i have not test fit this yet so dont take my word that it will work in the rear. im hoping it will i dont drive a ton on the street mostly to the strip (5 miles) and a few car shows.
the safe answer is 2 inch all the way around works fine.

Re: 3rd gen camaro with 5th gen wheels - pics
when i run the 5th gen wheels i need a spacer to get them to fit. a 2 inch spacer wont work cause of the 3 inch studs they will stick threw the spacer by and inch and the wheel wont go on. so the only option we have come up with is to use a 1.5 inch spacer and push the studs out of the spacer and just use it as a spacer. then use the 3 inch studs to hold the spacer and the wheel on.
this is not the right way to do this but its the only way in this situation.
hope this makes sense

got you track rules limiting what you can do
guess i wasnt clear. i need the 3 inch studs for when my drag wheels are on. otherwise any shorter studs wont pass tech at the track.

he said he has a inch sticking out from spacer so maybe they might not fit depending on how deep the lightening holes are ? but who knows depending on measurements of the lightening holes depth

wow didnt even think about that. i will look at the wheels when i get home. im pretty sure they do have those. oddly enough the spacer guys didnt either. i will look at the wheels as soon as i get home.
and on the stud rules thats an NHRA rule. i dont want my wheel or my opponents wheel coming off. i just saw a mustang sheer off all 5 lug studs leaving the line a month or so back. they were upgraded studs just not strong enough. luckily it was at the line so not to much damage. would have been a different story if it came apart at the 1/8 or the traps.
