C4 ZR1 wheels on 88 GTA.
I came across a picture of a black WS6 T/A with the deep dish grand sport type wheel on it and it and it is the best looking 4th gen I have ever seen.. Then I saw the pictures of 396l35's car in the corvette wheels thread with his grand sports and his is the toughest looking camaro I have seen in a while.. I found this site
http://www.oewheelsllc.com/Wheels-for-Camaro/By-Finish/Black/17-Fits-Camaro-ZR1-Replica-p6901699-3-1.html
Has anyone bought from them before? $449 is a pretty ****ing good price for a set of 4 rims, almost too good to be true.. Anyways even if I don't order from that site, how hard would it be to stuff 17x11 deep dish ZR1s on the back and the 17x9.5s on the front? I'm assuming I'm going to need some bad-*** spacers to mount these with.. I do want them to be flush with the fenders. A little bit of overhang is ok but I dont want it to look like I just threw them on the car. I think these black with the polished dish would look tuff as absolute hell on my car especially when I get it sitting right and the windows tinted..
This is the picture that got me thinking about these wheels, its the best looking fourth gen I have ever seen...

Yeah if anybody can help you out by providing more info on these wheels & what it would exactly take to mount them, that'd be great . I'm interested in these, or these: http://www.oewheelsllc.com/Wheels-fo...-p6901928.html.

Re: C4 ZR1 wheels on 88 GTA.
I hear putting 9.5's on hte front can be done... but that's the limit. The thing is it puts the sidewall of the tire pretty far out. I've never seen a car around here like that, but I hear it's subtle but can look kind of odd once you notice. Gives the car a weird stance that may not be immediately recognizable as being due ot the front wheel offset.
11's in the back can be done but I hope you enjoyed the early 90's because it's gonna be hammertime for you!

Yeah lol I figured it would look weird after I did some more thinking about it. I will probably go with the 17x9.5s all around if I decide this is the route I want to go. I am kind of getting bored of the stock look and I just want to switch it up and make it look more muscular. I don't want it to look weird with the wheels sticking out past the fenders.. I like the deep dish 5 star C5 vette wheels on the site too, id have those in chrome probably in 18s.. Thanks for you help!

I dont know guys I saw a Black ZR1 C4 vette today at cars and coffee with the ZR1 wheels in a polished finish and it looked damn good. I dont know which one I would like!... Polished or black with chrome lip? I think the polished ZR1 wheels, the car lowered with sportline springs, maybe a LT1 ram air hood like on Zephers formula, and tinted windows would look amazing... My car is getting repainted black soon too so it will look perfect...

i ordered a set of chrome 17x9.5 ZR1's from them last spring. never did get to mount the wheels since i spun a bearing in the motor. but the company is top notch. i had trouble getting my order to go through so i called up there and the customer service rep got me squared away in no time. they were shipped and at my house about a week later. the quality and finish of the wheels are excellent. and for the price, you cant beat it. even though ive never mounted them and driven them on the car, i couldnt be happier with the purchase.

I've ordered from OE Wheels a few times. Always great people to do business with. I know Scott has been on this site as of late. I'd personally like to see them selling the C6 Z06 Spyder wheels. I'm looking for an excuse to mini tub my junk to fit the 19x12 rears. Hint hint.

Well thanks for making up my mind about the ZR1 rims TPI lol. I will be ordering a set of 17x9s ASAP, they will be in chrome though I am pretty sure. What kind of lowering springs did you have on your car in those pictures?

Re: C4 ZR1 wheels on 88 GTA.
Hello, I love your wheels and would love to put a set on my 92Z convertible. Will they fit and what do I need to order for my car? Do I order like I am ordering for a 93-02? Are there wheel spacers involved? I need a good lesson on what will fit. I would like 17x9.5s so I can get a C5 brake upgrade but that is another project after I get the wheels bought and put on. allen.bray64@yahoo.com
