How many guys rollin on 17's???
I know 18's and 20's are popular, but how many of you guys are riding on 17" rims? Lets see some pics.

Do 17s on front count?
17s look perfect in the front imo. In the back 18s make the fit for me, just need beefier tires.

Re: How many guys rollin on 17's???
I wouldnt say 18''s and 20''s are as popular as 16''s 17''s and 15''s(for the track) are probably more popular than 20's. Its takes the right wheel to pull of 20''s not many cars pull them off the right way. When its done wrong it looks horrible. The problem is not many people know when they did their car wrong.
17's in front as well

17 x 9's on all 4 with 275/40's
Considered 18's, but based on tire costs, the 17's were a lot more economical for my daily driver.
Not sure I would realize much improved handling. After a few sets of tires, the wheels are essentially free compared to the tire costs with 18's.

i think 17's and 18's are far more popular than the 20's. Only a handful of cars here with anything larger than a 18

That's what happens when you put new springs and aftermarket notchback..... There's nothing weighing down the rear... When I add my box its should a bit.....

Re: How many guys rollin on 17's???
I know you want to here from guy's with 17" wheels, but i thought i would throw my 2 cents in. I bought my iroc with 18" wheels already on it and i hate em. They look nice, but with such a low side profile, you feel every crack in the road. So if the road is a little ruff, it vibrates the crap out of the car.

Way more 17" & down...A few 18"s & anything bigger usually gets laughed at or really negative posts about the car.

Re: How many guys rollin on 17's???
only 17 i got are on my 01 ws6 ta. pardon the foggy lens but my camara was getting hammered by the humidity this evening. just to the north of me milwaukee is pretty much toast by a huge t-storm.
camera finally cleared up.
my 89 has 16" i dont think thirdgen look right on the bigger wheels. the sidewall on the 16's is taller than the sidewalls on the 17's on my TA.

I have had 17x8.5 wheels & 245/45/17 tires on my car for the last 10years. I don"t even notice them much anymore with all the cars with wagon wheels on them.

Re: How many guys rollin on 17's???
17s up front and 18's on the rear. If you go 17s all around it will look nice. I personally think 18s is the biggest you should go on a 3rd gen.

I agree on you on that. I thought those impalas had a different bolt pattern then our cars.

They are definatly ROH wheels, but they are essentially deeper inset copies of Impala wheels for sure. But they bolted right on my stock hubs with no worries.

Re: How many guys rollin on 17's???
I hear ya. Either way I hated them at first but I got them with tires stuck to them for about $300 so I couldn't bitch. Now that they have been on the car I grew to like them more, although the tires are too small.

Re: How many guys rollin on 17's???
Because of the deep backspacing of those Impala SS wheels & my 2" dropped spindles, the lower a-arm hit the inside wheel lip. So I ad to trim my lower a-arms to clear the rim.

17s look about perfect. 18s make the car look too short(in my opinion, our cars look better low, long and sinister) and 19s make it look like a Hot Wheels car!
