1988 Camaro With Rust on Cragar wheels
I got a camaro that I recently bought and it has cragar wheels on it and it has some rust like around the center caps and right on the outside edge of the wheel close to the tire. The guy I got it from said some steel wool, but I asked a kid at pep boys for a second opinion and he said no it will scratch. I tried to just scratch at the rust with my nail and it seemed to peel off, just a little chip of it and it was shiny under the rust. so what do yall think could take it off, without spending hours and hours of sanding or whatever and a bunch of money. would steel wool work? or even a SOS cleaning pad?
thank you

Those green scotch brite pads seem to be best for chrome but watch that you use a mild cleaner or they tend to soften the chrome and even "plastic" pads can scratch....otherwise i got a set of IROC-Z rims i could sell....LOL
