Question about Stern wheels and lug nuts
I've been looking around and found some Hyper Mesh II's should fit about right (correct me if I'm wrong) 17"x8.5" with a +13mm offset, which should get me around 4.25" backspace, which should be right at home on my all stock car. Here is a pic:
My main question is what all of you guys with a more european style wheel use in regard of lug nuts?

Re: Question about Stern wheels and lug nuts
I dont have any pics on me, but I'll post some tommorow. I just using the stock lugnuts but will prolly use aftermarket ones that use keys. Ive seen some at autozone that look fine. I am running 275 40 17 tires on all four. Some will tell you need at least a 9 inch tire to run that size, but I use to have an impala ss car that had 17x8.5 and they autocross on the 275's all the time so Im not really concerned and they fit well on the wheel. I had 245 45 17 on my impala rims and they seemed to barely fit on the rim and I scuffed the wheel from the lip being exposed.

Re: Question about Stern wheels and lug nuts
Here are a couple of photos from a phone. I need to take some pics with my camera but its already dark when i get home from work so here is what i have. The centers had to be milled just a little. I was charged like 25 per wheel but im sure you can get it somewhere cheaper.
The car is a little ruff, just got the whole ws6 supspension and complete rebuild done, getting ready to paint it, and then on to a complete motor/drivetrain swap.

Re: Question about Stern wheels and lug nuts
Cool man looks better on a third gen than I was thinking!! Was the the axle hub too large (in diameter or depth?) and contacting the wheel in the center? Also are those 275's and the 8.5" wheel? I can't decide between a 245/45-17 and 275/40-17 all the way around. Thanks for the help man!

Re: Question about Stern wheels and lug nuts
The front bearing cap touches the wheel cap area so that it wont sit flush. I just had the plastic cap diameter area of the wheel increased slightly. Therefore you wont be able to run those black plastic stern wheel caps. But I dont mind, I think it actually looks better without them. Gives the wheel a true performance look in my opinion. I am running 275 40 17 all around and I would'nt use a 245/45/17 tire. I suppose if you want too you could also run a 255 tire. The outer rim will be exsposed if you run a 245 tire. Im not really careful driving and know I would eventually curb and scuff the wheels if I used a 245 tire.
