Proper air pressure will almost always be listed on the sidewall of the tire. If not, put them at 40 and drop the rear down 5-10 psi if you plan on racing that night.

eBay center caps are fine, or do a simple google search.

I agree with plum92_camaro, your car looks AWESOME with those wheels, hood and rear spoiler. The only thing killing my buzz is the super bright chrome gas cap. I think the original red one would look much better. Even that little bit of chrome just stands out way too much.

Not trying to be disrespectful in any way, just my opinion. I've attached a picture of my "Ms. Rachael" just in case you feel the need to fire back.

Re: Got Vette Wheels??...Post pics here...!

Here are a few pics of my new Z06 wheels. 18x8.5 for the front & 18x10.5 for the rear. I still need to order the spacers/adapters though. I will probably call OEwheels to see if they need to be lugcentric or hubcentric just to make sure I order the correct type.

I just mounted one of the 8.5" wheels back there for now since the 10.5" wheels are about an inch deeper backspacing.

Thanks, appreciate the feedback, may switch out to an 18'' upfront in the near future, depends on the cash flow after I finish with my supercharger install

Ha, It's all good, you're car looks great btw. The gas door is actually brushed/matte aluminum, a bullitt door from a mustang. It's there to stay though, installed with a 2 part epoxy. Normally not that shiny, light just made it quite brighter then it normally is.

Just finished getting my wheels on and lowering done. C6 wheels, 2" spacer in front, 2.5" in the rear. Eibach sportline, one coil removed on rear springs, 1/4 coil on front. Getting ready to wrap in the near future.

Just the size I'm trying, what tires sizes and backspacing are you running? I'm trying C6 knockoffs with 58 mm offset.

Before you guys put on the wheels did you have to put on a conversion plate of some sort for the bolt pattern? or does Corvette wheels just naturally fit?

No, they fit with no conversion plate. They are 5 on 4¾ just like the Camaro's & Firebird's.

OEWheels.com makes brand new
Reproductions in black, chrome , & gunmetal .. Just about every type of vette wheel u can think of from the last 30 years mine cost a total at 358$ plus 80$ for shipping so 438$ delivered to my front door and I think I got em about 3 days after I ordered but the ship out of Florida .. U ain't gonna find a deal better than that even tho they are made in China who cares for that price

Seen a pair of 17x9.5s c6 wheels . On oe. 600 shipped to my door just rims seems to be way to high for me for 17s

I've been all over clist.
I know I will have to find 2" adapters also once I get them but ya
Figured I would try an find someone with them on here or something better somewhere .
Been all over eBay also very frustrating lol

I've seen broken spokes on chinese wheels at the road course. So maybe don't use the cheap wheels for racing.

Don't buy them if you're putting more than 450 ft lbs of torque out. I've seen people bust the centers out at the dragstrip. They're also much heavier than an OEM wheel.

Also, I ended up getting my c6 wheels for under $400. 2 brand new, 2 with a little bit of pitting.

My advice is to get a set of chrome ones off Craigslist and have them powdercoated whatever you want.

Got mine locally off of Craigslist for $400. Found these doign a quick search on local criagslist as well:

Like zenish said, check your local craigslist. The big price comes when you buy the rubber...

They came from OE Wheels, LLC out of Florida.

17x9.5 all around
+56 mm offset
2.25" adapters in front
2.00" adapters in rear

I used McGard spline-drive chrome lug nuts for mounting the wheels instead of regular chrome lug nuts. I like the look.

275/40R17 BF Goodrich g-force Sport Comp-2

Car has been lowered 1" with Eibach Pro Kit springs

Absolutely NO modifications were made to the car for these to fit. Just bolted right on. I have NO rubbing or clearance issues in front or rear.

Thanks for looking!

Im going to have to get a better look in the daylight tomorrow to see how I really feel about this color. It's a lot darker than I was hoping.

17x11s in the rear. The BFH came out but I was actually really surprised at how minor the clearancing really was. The front 17x9.5s with 2 inch spacers are just as tight on that area at the front of the fender well. It's not perfectly centered, I got some trash in the threads of my panhard bar and it just didnt want to adjust any farther. I probably should just take it out of the car and clean the threads out to get it to thread smoothly and get it perfectly centered, but as of now it's less than a 1/4 inch from being centered. Right around 1/8th-3/16ths.... 5/32s? Fractions... ugh.

So here are my ZR1's in the daylight. Like I said, they are 17x11 rears.... some of you may curious as to how they fit. I had to BFH one side... the axle isnt perfectly centered but i dont think it's too far out.

These are not glamour shots...

You could easily tuck these in another .25 inches I think.

Looks good ... that's about how far mine stick out with 18 by 9.5's I need to use a 1.5" spacer instead of the 2"

I Really Hope Someone Can Clear This Up...

I am about to purchase 18x9.5 C5 wheels and i need to see who here is using the Hubcentric adapters and who is using the Lugcentric adapters.

Also can you share your experiences with EZAccessory or Motorsport-tech in regards to your Hubcentric or Lugcentric adapters.

Thank you,

Your help is greatly appreciated.

I am using adapters from EZAccessories. The rears are 2.00" and are both hub-centric as well as wheel-centric. The fronts are 2.25" and are hub-centric on the car side, but lug-centric on the wheel side. They can't be wheel-centric on the front because of the spindle hub sticking out. I am running 17 x 9.5, +56mm offset, 7.45" backspace ZR1 replicas from OE Wheels, LLC. I have no complaints with the quality of the adapters, but I did buy replacement Dorman lugs to use with the adapters because I thought the ones shipped with them looked cheap. Made me feel better, anyways. I used blue Loctite when installing the adapters. YMMV

Wow, Thanks for the quick response.

Would you happen to have the part numbers? I will get the exact same ones.

I could only see the 70.3mm -> 70.3mm and 73mm ->73mm options.

Those are the same part numbers I ordered. I had to take a Dremel to the inside of the rear adapters and to the rear axle hub to free up just a hair more space for proper fitment. They fit a little too tight, which would have made removing them very difficult. Fronts fit fine after a good cleaning of the hubs. All fit nice and snug, with no room for movement.

You should be able to run 2.00" adapters front and rear if you're going with 18" wheels. You'll have an additional 1/2" clearance from the tie rod end than I do with my 17" wheels. FYI

Re: Got Vette Wheels??...Post pics here...!

Im running hub centric adapters on the rear from ebay seller lugs-n-stuff. They are hub centric on both sides. I had to clean off just a little built up crust on my rear axle hub to get it to slip on all the way, great fit.

The fronts are from ezaccessory. They are not hub centric. They are advertised as hub-centric... but they are not. 70.5mm center bore. I didnt want to get a wheel-hub centric adapter for the fronts for fear it wouldn't clear the factory hub. But what I found is even my rear adapters that are a perfect fit on the rear are NOT a perfect fit on the front. In fact, they have at least 1mm of play between them and the hub on the fronts.

I dont know if brake rotors just have a wildly varying hub thickness for our cars... i would imagine different manufacturers build them to slightly different specs and tolerances, so I wouldn't count on front hubs being hubcentric unless you measure and have the adapters made, but even that will cause problems down the line if you change your brake rotors. The obvious solution here is brake upgrade... but like I said, my front and rear hubs are definitely NOT the same diameter. I have no issues, but I'd very much prefer all 4 to be hub centric. Given how loose the front adapters fit on the front hub, I dont know that if it were a tight fit that I could get an adapter with a wheel-side hub centric flange over it.

Also ezaccessory charges some stupid 15 percent restocking fee even if the adapter is in perfect condition and never installed. I wont buy anything else from them just for that. I do have an extra pair of 2 inch adapters now, though. I think Im going to save them for when I get a set of vette wheels that need the same 2 inch adapter front and rear.

Ok so I am looking at the options with ezaccessory they have the Hubcentric that are 70.3mm and the Lugcentric that are 73mm. I dont see any that claim to be 70.5. I have heard that getting the Hubcentric for the front does not fit.

After all the advice i am probably going to order the

2.25" Lugcentric 73mm for Front
2" Hubcentric 70.3mm for Rear

This is the best option that i am aware of unless anyone has a better one.

I have created a thread in wheels and tires for this discussion, let us continue this there.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

These are the ones I got that are very not hub centric. I guess I got it confused with some ebay descriptions of theirs and assumed they were the same.

Like I said, they work fine on the car, but they just require a bit more patience to install.

18" x 10.5" C5-Z06 (Z16 option-polished) with Nitto NT-05 275 front, 295 rear, and Motorsport-Tech 2" hub-centrics with 3" Moroso studs. I'm going to lower it more (with Ground Control weight-jacks), but I haven't rolled my fenders yet.

Really nice looking setup you got there shifter. Just a few quick questions if you dont mind. Are those 18x10.5 all around? Any issues with rubbing anywhere? Are you still using the stock 3rd gen rear end? Any issue with the wheels sticking out past the fenders?

Thanks!

No rubbing, they stick out a bit in back, but not overly so. They are 10.5" all around, though I wish I would have gone 295's all around as well...(they may have rubbed a bit then though). Still a stocker diff, until it breaks, then I'll go with a Strange 60 in anticipation of an LS swap.
