People really drive their cars with the wheels set like that in the wells? I would think that would be a show only deal. Talk about damaging the wheels, tires, and fender lips...
I don't think there are any cars on here that are like that. The fender lips on these are alot thicker than on that car.

Most third gen owners don't go that extreme with their offsets. Here's a couple I found though. I have no clue what the specs are.

you can't drive on the street like that... my car only does it through air ride when parked and i had to rework the fenders and get the rim/tire combo perfect.

That's TAME for stretched tires.I like where the tire fits in that fenderwell but not where the wheel sits.
As mentioned, thirdgens have a large flat inner fender lip that is the meeting of two sheets of metal so it takes a large amount of work to roll it. And do it WELL, keeping everything straight and paint still attached to the metal. Most of the folks here don't like that look and will ridicule you for trying it.

I had to run spacers on mine because the company that sold me my wheels failed to tell me they wouldnt fit over the damn hub in the front.

i didn't know you kids are still using the word "rice" figured that died in the early 90's... guess not!
here's a link to a picture of mine and a seperate link to one of the articles back in the day. this was before the rebuild, the car sits much lower now when parked and the fender/quarters have been rolled to fit the new 19's much tighter.

You will destroy the rims with that little rubber on them if not damage the fenders with any kick out. Run some wide 18-19 with a good profile tire on them and it should be better for drifting and be able to make more than one run on a set. Got a family member who is a exhibition drifter for nopi and his turbo LS1 240sx has a good amount of tire on it.

Those stretched tires are intentional. You make it sound like you think he just went with whatever tires he could get ahold of regardless of fitment. With that style you can fit a wider wheel and drop it more. Popular on eurotuner/VW/BMW cars.

I'll say two things here.
That 240 picture isn't the best example of the look, it's much too extreme.

2" Ebay adapters all around. Warning: they did NOT have the correct center bore, just a few mm too small. I had to grind away the center bore to get them to fit snug.
Unfortunately I don't have a straight side shot right now, hope this will suffice. The rear isn't low enough for me even though it's at it's lowest setting. I'll need to trim the springs a little or buy some shorter springs later on.

That is the same thing about BMW wheels fitting. Same lug pattern, smaller center wheel bore (but EASILY fixable) but WAY WAY more wheel choices.

As for safety? Several people here on TGO are running BMW wheels, and I have yet to ever hear that the 0.03 inch difference caused any problems of any kind. I'd be interested in hearing the side of the debate saying they aren't safe, or anything to back that opinion up.

Guys we've all been making messes in our pants over that hood for years... and no matter what we do it enver ends up being available stateside. I've given up on it. You want a hood like that and you're going to have to make it yourself.

that hood is sweet ive never seen that kinda vented hood for a camaro it might be custom made or something looks like he got a cowl hood cut it and bent it down and molded it or somthing but id definetally buy one if i could.
and japan isnt ****in carbon fiber land you can buy carbon-fiber hoods and what not in america believe it or not

Quit reaching.....I said THAT hood, not just "CF hoods"of any kind
CF can be found anywhere, and turned into anything, just not hoods. And NO (commercially sold) 3rd gens hoods in the USA. I do know of 1 that was specifically made, then the buyer (here on TGO) bought the hood & all rights & ownership of it. So the place that made it for him, can't even make & sel them.
The Japan page hasn't even been updated since 2005.....No guarantee all of that stuff is even still available.
