Just a little off topic, don't you think?

This thread is ridiculous. I'd say that most of the cars in this thread look retarded, except it'd be insulting to the mentally challenged. Save the G'd out and Uncle Ben's modifications for Caddies, Mini-trucks, and Hondas.

Re: Flush wheels/ dumped cars

I dont like this style cuz its not good for auto X you get to close to the edge you you cut a hole right in your tire and a hard corner, but most people with muscle cars dont do auto X, or at least I dont know of anyone that does. Besides that I just plain doesnt look good IMHO.

I do autocross and I don't have a single problem. There are things you can do to make sure you don't rub, there fender rolling, fender pulling, camber, stretching tires, etc.

Re: Flush wheels/ dumped cars

you actually want a slight stretch for auto-x because it makes the sidewall firmer.

This is exactly why drifters do this as well. If the tires are already stretched out its only logical that there is a lot less chance of the bead popping off the rim. I'm also assuming that it helps with keeping the tires spinning because of the thinner contact patch. I definately wouldn't stretch them too far on a DD car though because it takes away the curb protector

Re: Flush wheels/ dumped cars

Man I love that car! No matter how many pics of it I see its still sweet. I've always felt that the smaller rims with the larger tires (like over 50% aspect ratio) give more of a raw muscle car look but the low pro tires tucked into the wells (definately not as much as the first post!) give a cleaner, more modern look. Which - if done right - looks good on most cars
