18x11 IROC Wheels....saga continues

Re: 18x11 IROC Wheels....saga continues
I found that with Facebook and Instagram, if you keep the people you follow and interact with to just cars (or whatever your hobbies are) then that's all you get. I don't any politics or what did Kim Kardashian do yesterday, none of that crap. It's actually fun.
Hawk's Motorsports sells a 17x9.5" Iroc wheel.....both 85-87 and 88-90 style. I had 'em on my red 89. To me, they look a little better than an 18" wheel, and they allow a 275mm tire without the extra work Mr. Iroc Z put in by widening. 275 is far more than enough for a non track car. ...and for lowering, whether it be for peformance or aesthetics, I like weight jacks. I used 'em on my 89, and have another set on order for my 88. Mine are from Ground Control, but there are other options. They allow you to fine tune ride height.

absolutely! I am a fortunate one with a T5 manual.
here you go. I love the stance of Mr. IROCs black convertible. Would like to duplicate that.

Ahhhh yes! Very nice!!!!!! -different, but the same! Sharp ride, and love that 5 speed. I keep ending up with autos, but I end up putting manuals in 'em.
I'd say from an aesthetic point of view, either 17 or 18 works. Just personal preference really. Tire selection favors the 18, but no one currently running 16's is gonna listen to anyone with 17's complaining! Still plenty of tires out there. I vote 17, but that's just me. Now I also prefer the 88-90 style wheel, and that you can only get in a 17, so if that matters to ya...there ya go. ....then how low do you wanna go? It's really just getting the ride height where you want it.

Thank you. I love it. All original paint except spoiler. no clear coat peel. I like the idea of adjustable height. But I’d ideally I’d like a 2” drop on 18s. A really nice look.
