Think its a 1" spacer if I remember right. Things barely fit. Coil over conversion all around and lowered and absolultely no rubing issues though. Ill try to get a good photo of the rear posted on here. Looks pretty sick i think. Still all tucked under the fender.

Niiice, my 92z has 245 & 315, but i have GS o/s so im running 2.25 front & 2.00 rear adapters. The rears kind of sit flush with the fender lip, she still stock height on original springs.

Re: BEST looking 3rd gen firebird & camaro rims
Yeah the front tuck a hair more than the rear no spacer. The stance is near perfect for me. Doing a 9 inch in a couple weeks and hopefully can make all the adjustments to keep the rear sittin right without too big a headache

Man that looks like GREAT old school! I bet it launched a lot better with those taller side wall! I am looking for new rims to get more meat on the ground for my 87 stroker. Perhaps I should look to 15's instead of 17" corvettes!

copchaser, those wheels look killer. never thought 19's could look good, but yours sure do. but im curious as to what rear brake set up you have since you have such large wheels, its shocking that the inside of the rim is almost filled up with rotor lol. mine are 18's with c5 rear brakes, and they arent nearly as big as yours. are they 5thgen brakes?

Looks gorgeous Copchaser! I agree with IROCZcamaro above. I usually don't like anything larger than 18" wheels on 3rd gens, but those look great. I'm lovin' the big brakes too.

Re: BEST looking 3rd gen firebird & camaro rims
Okay, It's not fair that I bashed TT's wheels without him being able to retaliate, so, for TT's appreciation and comment I give you my 16x9 zero offset chrome IROC knock offs. I don't think they are the best ones out there, but they're pretty shiney.
And yes, it's a horrible picture. I have a cheap camera phone.

Re: BEST looking 3rd gen firebird & camaro rims
Hey, the back space on the fronts is 4.517. As to whether the rms will stick out, you can figure out pretty easily.
FIGURING IT OUT SOUNDS HARD, BUT IT REALLY ISN'T.
1: pull a rear tire. Measure the total width of the fender well, inside rub point to the fender lip. (should be about 13 inches). (rub point is where the tire would touch the fender well)
2: put a straight edge (about 2' of 1x2 works great) on the axle/wheel mounting surface and measure the distance from the mounting surface to the inside rub point on the fender well.
NOW, THAT 275 TIRE IS ABOUT 10.6" WIDE. So, you will need a total backspace of over 5.331" to keep the tire from rubbing
3: Subtract The wheel/tire back space (in your case 5.331") from the item 2 number . THAT number will be the inches from the inside rub point to the inside of the tire.***
5: NOW, add the number you got in item 3 with the width of the tire (10.6"). If it's greater then the width of the fender well(item 1), the tires will stick out by the difference.
*** If this answer= a - (negative) number, you will need spacers.
Now do the same with the fronts, but use the different tire/wheel sizes to calculate
Boss 338 5x4.75 18x8 +2mm (4.517") 18x9.5 -4mm (5.031") Camaro, Chevelle, Monte Carlo, S10, Impala and others...

Re: BEST looking 3rd gen firebird & camaro rims
I would go with 5.5 backspacing for the rear. I have 17x9.5 w/ 5.5 backspacing on the rear of my 91 Z28 and they fit perfect. With only 5.0 backspacing I think they would stick out too far and you could have issues clearing the fender lip when you hit a big bump. I think you will be ok on the fronts, mine are 17x8 w/ 4.5 backspacing..
