Re: BEST looking 3rd gen firebird & camaro rims
Everyone has their own vision of what they want there car to look like. There is no need to post sh*t about someone's car. This isn't a "Tell me what you think about my car" thread. There are plenty of wheels on here that I don't care for, but I don't feel the need to blast someone for having them on their car. Keep in mind that everyone has a budget and may not be able to afford a certain type of wheel or upgrade. I'm interested in seeing what your car looks like.

I dropped her some sense this pic. 15X8 Cragar Keystones.
Some of the previous 3RD'S would have looked even better than they already did if they busted out some "Armor All"

285 35 19 on rear and 245 35 19 front. I used a 7/16" spacer in the rear. The front does not require one but it is tucked into the fender to much for me. I will run a 1" in the front.

Re: BEST looking 3rd gen firebird & camaro rims
Apparently, I hurt someone's feelings. Call me a 'douch'...whatever. So, let me perhaps refine my comment: the title of the thread is "Best looking...3rd gen rims'.
20 inch plus rims, chromed Iroc or otherwise, with a tire like a rubber band around them are NOT, in my no longer humble opinion, THE BEST LOOKING 3RD GEN RIMS.
If the moderator sees fit to perhaps start another thread called "WORST looking 3rd gen rims' and move this comment to that, I would be fine with that too.

Simmer down, everybody has there own opinion on what does or doesn't look good. If you like it, more power to you. If not, remember it's what makes the owner happy it isn't your car.

There are alot of nice looking wheels out there, ultimately I decided these ROH wheels were my favorite and went with them. 18x11 all the way around

Re: BEST looking 3rd gen firebird & camaro rims
I know lots will say they`re played out, but to me nothing beats chrome irocs.
This is a work in progress shot, as I just finished painting the car black, putting on the C4HD brake system, and 17" chrome irocs on.

Re: BEST looking 3rd gen firebird & camaro rims
It's interesting that you guys like it that much. I find them interesting, enough that I opened the pictures multiple times to look at them, I want some deep dish wheels to work, but I came to the conclusion that something just didn't look right, especially with the back wheels.

Re: BEST looking 3rd gen firebird & camaro rims
After some small research they seem very familar to be ADV5 wheels. Looks very similar to em.

Re: BEST looking 3rd gen firebird & camaro rims
Haha...I knew I'd get mixed reactions to the new wheels. I guess it's to be expected since these are "outside the norm" around here so to speak. These weren't meant to be a "deep dish" style wheel, there are made from deep concave forgings which is a different design all together. If I wanted a deep dish wheel I would have chosen a more conventional flat forging which would have given me a 2" more of wheel lip...like my old wheels, but I wanted something fresh and different this time around.
These are not ADV wheels, however, very similar in design and construction. When I saw ADV wheels for the first time I knew that's what I wanted. ADV however caters to much higher end class of vehicles and with that, also comes a ridiculous price tag. Instead I found a small wheel company that works with the pro-touring crowd and had also started to use these new concave forgings. Since they were a small company they were willing to work with me on the fitments and finishes that I required. I'm purposely withholding the name the company that made them because we still have some outstanding issues we are working out. If they choose to not resolve these issues then I will not endorse them in any way, shape or form. Business is business. Pricing wise, these fall in line with any other high end 3 piece forged wheel for those that are wondering…about $1K per wheel.
The fronts are 18x9's and the rears are 18x12's. The rear wheels sit in the same position as my old 18x10's I just pushed the additional 2 inches to the inside. Because of that I made my own minitubs and lower control arms for the rear.
I appreciate the positive comments…this was a big risk in my opinion and I am very pleased with the new more aggressive look it gives the car. I got tired of the blingy polished wheels and they were just too much upkeep for someone who drives the car alot. These you can just wash, rinse and dry and your off! No more elbow grease!! LOL To those that don’t like them…that’s cool too, to each their own.

Re: BEST looking 3rd gen firebird & camaro rims
I guess it doesn't matter who makes them at a 1000 per wheel. I'd wait for some one piece knockoffs - but I don't have a Camaro. Still, they are sweet.

Re: BEST looking 3rd gen firebird & camaro rims
Yeah, it's unfortunate that they are that expensive. I would have a hard time swallowing that price for a first time wheel purchase. I only paid half that when you consider that I sold my old wheels to offset some of the cost...it kinda softens the blow
