Those were 17x9.5 5.5 inch offset all around. They didnt fit my brake upgrade so i had to part with them

In 2003 i upgraded to the Baer AlconPro4. Its basically the older version of the current Baer Track4. It just has really fat calipers and american racing wouldnt make me a set to clear my calipers so i bought the Intro Pentia's. They will basically build a wheel to your specifications. Really awesome service and products.

lol yea i dont like the idea of running spacers. Just makes me think of those youtube vids where guys are drifting and the wheels go flying off. I saw one where literally all 4 wheels came off 5 seconds into his run. Hilarious but i felt for him even though it was a RX7.

Ya I feel ya. I'm gonna be running a small spacer up front for my drag wheels but I'm not too worried about that. It's so they aren't tucked up super far in the fender lol.

Re: BEST looking 3rd gen firebird & camaro rims
I'm having a real dilemma deciding what to do about the wheels on my car. I have an opportunity to move to IROC wheels for $100, plus the cost of tires obviously.
Not sure if they are right for my car, there's something I love about the base wheels, but it sounds like too good an opportunity to pass up
please check out this thread and vote on my poll, I have to make my mind up fast

Re: BEST looking 3rd gen firebird & camaro rims
For some inexpensive rims (that I just happened to buy for $250 off Craigslist) are the Ronal R9's -- especially if you get them custom painted to match the body color!
They're usually a 16x8 and 5x4.75 bolt, but because of the chrome lip it makes them seem much smaller. Not for everyone, but damn they look niice!

How much did it cost you and where did you get it done? Will the strength of the wheel not be compromised?

Re: BEST looking 3rd gen firebird & camaro rims
IIRC, it was $100 for the powdercoating & $300 for widening 1"-3" (i went with 2")....PER WHEEL. So $600 for just widening for 2 wheels.
I have no fear of the wheel strength being compromised. In actual tests I've seen, the weld seam was stronger than the material (steel bar) & the material fails in breaking outside the weld seam. I don't see how aluminum (the wheel) could be any different.
