2.8L questions
Ok.....I may sound like an idiot here, so I appologize in advance. In the Tech data section of this site, I was looking for my car (89 camaro RS V-6 2.8L manual) and its not listed. They have RS but only in V-8. However, right above it is coupe/firebird with 2.8L V-6. Is this my cars specs? and if so, whats the diffence between a M5 and A4 tansmission, and which one do I have? also, what does LB8 V-6 mean under engine code/type? just numbers or what? Oh, and does anyone have estimated times/speeds for a 2.8 stock for 1/4, 0-60, 60-0, and lateral G's? just wonderin for my readers ride Thanx for any help. Sorry if this seems like a stupid question to most of ya, but hey, I'm new at this stuff, and ya only learn by askin, right?

M5 is a Manual Transmission with 5 forward gears.
A4 is an Automatic Transmission with 4 forward gears.
Yes, LB8 is the Regular Production Option for the 2.8L. GM uses 3-digit alphanumeric codes for all options.
As for times...... 17 or 18 second 1/4 miles. Pretty slow. I think everyone here knows how I feel about 2.8/3.1 accceleration......
