battry ground cable question
So I've been having starting issues for a while in my 89 2.8. Decided to do some clean up in the engine today and verify all vac lines (work has been crazy so i havent had time to touch it) and i noticed that the battery ground is going to the fender instead of the block. What size and length of wire do I need to replace it?

IIRC you should have two cables coming off the negative terminal a smaller one that may go to the fender and a larger one that goes to the motor

Re: battry ground cable question
It's supposed to go to a cylinder head or block. There might be a small pigtail going to the fender apron, but that is not the main connection point...

Re: battry ground cable question
yeah, the previous owner put it under the washer reservoir and I just saw it. That is probably why it's had hard starting issues since I got it. it's most definitely the 4 gauge on the fender. it should connect to the block, right behind the AC Compressor right?
