Yeah they make one, but you have to watch out for the size and make sure it fits. Some are huge. Also grab a stock one from the scrap yard the next time you go. If you have to pass the emissions test they will take one look at it and fail you just for that.

I don't have the part number any more. I just went to the parts store (Kragen, AZ, and other should have them in stock) and got one that I thought would fit and bought it. Once I was trying to put it in I found that the heat shield that goes half way around it was sticking out a little to far. So I banged a dent into the side of the heat shield that was rubbing and it went in just fine. You can't even tell I hammered unless you take it off and look that side.

I've got a Spectre oil cap; anodized blue aluminum on my car- just like my rad cap, dipsticks, and p/s cap. It passes emissions, and won't interfere with your PCV system like a breather would.

Yup, that's why you wont pass emissions with the breather. It lowers the crank case presure. Once I get my engine bay cleaned I going to swap it for one with a bit more collor.

It just lets the crank case breath. This keeps the PCV system from function as the EPA would like. Some say that a oil breather cap will increase the life of the engine, but I haven't been given a good explianation on how.

but no it wont make your run like crap or anything.

It lets the internal pressure of the crank case bleed off(equalize with the outside) at will or basically all the time the outside Barometric Pressure will be only slightly lower then the internal crankcase pressure. It helps prevent the build up of gas pockets, oil "clouds" and all pressure pockets that we know when the PCV system fails it blows the rings out and locks the motor up!.

....Less crankcase pressure means better sealing rings, no reverse pressure tring to push them into the grooves and cause blowby, no matter how slight. Or even worse tring to bend them in thier groves between the piston and the groove.
The crankcase creates pressure by its rotating movement, the sloshing/flying oil only makes it worse.

Help that explained it.
