Mod/Upgrade stock single snorkel air cleaner for more airflow?
Is there any way to modify or upgrade the stock air cleaner on my '83 2.8l to get more airflow?
Would it be a good idea to remove the stock filter and replace it with a cone filter at the corner as a cold(er) air intake?

I tried it, car hated it.
It did sound cool hearing all the whooshing and whistling sounds.
I went back to the snorkels once I got a new MAF. Also, I have removed all the baffling that blocks the air below the air filters.
