my car got stolen...recovered.. and the aftermath,,,

yes it's true my car was stolen 2 days ago from my school parking lot, i was so mad i didn't know hat to do, i called a report and late that night the cops found it. well the next day i went to go see it...

the ext. was fine but the int was completly thrashed and ruined, they riped my steering wheel off, riped off the turning signal stick, riped apart my center console... it was horrible i was s disapointed..

turned out my car has been called a total by my insurance company.... it would cost more to fix then the cars value itself...

i will still visit these forums and post all the knowledge i have learned from all you great guys.

BUT there is a goo side to all of this, i am getting a 94 Firebird for 2g's!!!!!!!!!!

i swear to *** it's in 100% perfect condition, black, 305. The only reason why the girl is selling it for that cheap is:

1. she has pity for me
2.her daddy is buying her a 2002 corvette for her graduation so she needs to get the bird out.

to make this technical is a 94 bird considered a 3rd gen??? i really hope it is. im going for a test drive tomorrow so i can scope out the engine then...

once again lets all hold a moment of silence for my car, may it rest in 3rd gen peace "sob sob"

That just sucks man . .Well glad your getting another f-body . A 94 is 4th gen ...82-92 3rd ....93-2002 4th .
They did not put 305's in them .It's either a 3.4 or 350 .

Sorry to hear about the total; how much are they giving you for it? Does it actually cover the cost of the 4th gen? My girl has a '94 Camaro with the 3.4, and the thing's pretty quick... it's damn odd to sit in it, with my face pressed against the inside of the windshield, and not see the hood, though. I don't know how she drives it.

350 - 275 " "

My cusion has a 93 camaro , it does seem wiered to sit in it and not see the front end .I like the 4th gens but she told me before her parents gave it to her for graduation that she liked my style better .

Sorry to hear about the theft. I had my 1967 Camaro ripped off & I got it back.
My Wife, same story, her 1968 taken then recovered.
Good score on the 94.
If she's real good to ya, you can let her drive her old car on your dates!!

Oh man! That sucks!! You were making that car look so good too! Did your car have VATS? Well anyways, Was the car stolen out of pima's parking lot? I didn't know that kind of people hung out around pima. Better watch out for my car! Well I'm glad you're not going to leave the f-body family. That's a hell of a good deal on the bird though! What color is it? Sorry to hear of your misfortune, good luck on the bird though!

too bad about your ride, but congrats on your next. get the club & enjoy the insurance break.
you can always buy the camaro back from the insurance company @ the salvage price, they would just deduct it from your $2500 claim. then part out the car for more than you got it back for. I,m sure there are plenty people around your area that might need various engine/body parts. maybe even a headliner.

Man that sucks. Why do people have to do this. I had my car keyed while in the parking lot, I had a good idea too who it was too. His dad has a Charger restored I was waiting, but he never brought it...lol

So when they give you the 2500 you don;t get the car back either, that would suck, those rims, tires, and the car in general were impressive....Good luck with the 94....

thanks guy i appreciate the compliments, i feel better, i just found out that there is a slim chance they'll fix it! but you know what they say, i will never runt he same again, thats why in a sense i don't want it back, i wish i could get the rims and stuff but that would just lower the cars value and right now i need the cash for the bird.

here is a pick of the exact same car im getting, except its black elevario:

i also found outs it's a 350 formula!

EDIT: if the pic doesn't show up just past it and it will load up fine

Sorry to tell you guys but the club(steering wheel thing) does absolutely crap for preventing theft. Easily cut the steering wheel and then take off the club.

ahhhhhhh

and that is EXACTLY why I don't use them
but in this case i have to get one just long enough for an alarm, it may not do much but at least it will stop the very stupid ones.

edit:

just so everyone know i will not forget my V6 roots, i WILL keep posting here as long as i can, not as a fellow third genner, but a former one with a fourth gen now
