Yea yea, I have heard about Dynomax until my ears bleed. Do anyone know how Borla or SLP would sound on a 3.1L or 2.8L car? BTW why is dynomax so good?

Shhhhhit, Borla or SLP might be too much of a flow dont ya think? I would lose an *** load of torque. Flowmaster hurt me enough. What would the others do?

I think dynomax is just made for a V6 .Sure they make V8 ones that sound good . I just don't think borla "tailors" their muffs to V6 like Dynomax does . I don't think SLP "tailors" their to V6s either .I think borla and slp on a V6 would just make it to throaty sounding for a V6 , not enough deepness with our V6 motor .where with an v8 , you dont need the deepness to make them sound good cus the motor has that deeper sound to it already . Um A flowmaster is best on a V8... sounds kinda crappy on a 6 well I think so. They are tuned for the acoustic pulses. Ofcourse this also depends on what series you have to.
Anyways SLP or Borla dont flow better than flowmaster if they are all the 3" in 3" out or the SLP with the dual 2"1/2 on one side.
SO you should have3 seen an increase in power overall with the flowmasters.
I would say leve the V6 alone, let it be, drive and enjoy. Modify the hell out of the LT1.

Frankly , Id listen to Kyle F on this . Just enjoy it . As much as I love my dynomax , sometimes I wish i had a switch for quiet sometimes . ...I wish they made a better flowing muffler for our v6s that did not have the noise to it .

Well, I love my Flowmaster 80. The sound is great deep and loud, it makes this awsome throaty gurgle when I downshift, increased horsepower through the range, It flows good... what else can I ask for?
I've never personally heard a dyno, but I've heard they are quieter then the flowie. The quality looks good and they flow just as good/almost as good as the flowmaster so hell, if you have the money to spend and don't like the f'master, do whatever make you happy!

I have no idea what my series is I think its a 80 but it might be a 40. "The sound is great deep and loud, it makes this awsome throaty gurgle when I downshift" Yea maybe if you downshift to where it brings it up to about 2500. Anything over that sounds annoying and *****. Mine pops like hell since I got the cat taken off. I think my RS is missing 2 cylinders

i haven't ever heard a dynomax either. so i can't comment. and i have never been a fan of flowmasters on a 6. borla would be nice, but its pricey. so i heard a hooker aero-chamber on the net and really loved the sound. i am sure you have seen this post before. its a less utilized option for whatever reason, but i really love it alot. not noisy in the car, and sounds mean from behind. take a listen. plus you get to be different

the sound file varies from idle to about 4500 rpm's. if you hear a little popping it pretty much dissappears once the car warms up a bit.....check out....

Dynomax does make it just for our engine, the other brands I am not sure. Also, Dynomax is so good because ofthe value.. For 149.99 you get a complete cat back with everything, hangers and all....

The Dynomax cat-back isn't made for a V6; it's made for V8's. But, the cat-back for a V6 and V8 are the same, as long as the V8 isn't a dual-cat model or H.O. model.

Monkie, I told ya before, I get compliments on mine all the time. It sounds like a stock 305, or so people tell me. I haven't been around many 305's. Most of the V8's around here are 350's or 454's.
