As much anger as I have, they had to do this on the day my 1 year old Son was born.
He is now in a world of a "war".
Retaliate, Yes, to whom, it needs to be executed well.
The ******* will be done in in a way they no not what to expect.
Expect the hand that deals that blow to not be our own.
That's what I kinda mean about DOG and his readings/teachings in other countries. Would you expect aGOD to desire that this happen?

This is so shameful and cowardly.
BUT
GO GET GAS NOW!
I just filled up both tanks. Oil has jumped $6/barrel already, today.

I truly wish there was something I could do. I would love to take revenge on those people that have executed this action against all these innoncent AMERICAN people. EVERY PERSON IN THIS NATION is affected.

A silent thought for all those lost & injured.

Praying will help too.Pray as if your life depended on it!I've been following this since about 1(my time). It is taking everything I have to keep from crying. It just breaks my heart to no ends.
I consider myself to be very patriotic.Very true to my country and G O D to the core.Someone had to have known about these hi-jacks.It makes me feel as if our country had let her gaurd down.
My heart and soul goes out to those familys who's mother, father, son's,daughters, etc won't be coming home tonight. For now lets think about those familys.Lets pray for them.I know emotions are flying higher then ever now.But let's think about them.We can be pissed off, madder then a rabbid wolf after those injured are cared for.And the dead laid to rest.
Those responsible will have their judgement day. Whether it be at the mercey of AMERICA or a lonely soul like you or me with a 357 shoved 3 feet up their *** !

Supposedly the people in my town can see the smoke from the Home Depot nearby... if any of you are interested in a "local" news station, here's channel 7, WABC, thru the "real player":

http://playlist.broadcast.com/makeplaylist.asp?id=66704

Let me know if it doesn't work, maybe I pasted it wrong...

[edit] I checked it, the link works. I actually saw the towers crumble on TV this morning; man, was I late to work... couldn't leave the TV. I'm just shocked... the stories I hear... people jumping out of the WTC's, firefighters climbing the stairs while other people were evacuating (seconds before the buildings collapsed)... attack on the Pentagon... ....

I just tried donating blood in LA.
There's a waiting period.
Will have to do this another day.
Gas stations out here are very backed up & busy.
Over my head is usually many small planes. Not today. It's as quiet as when the 1994 earthquake hit.
This is a sad as watching LA riots burn the town.
I know no comparison, but, just the shock.
The shock of this day, forever.
I wish I could be there when the planners of this hideous cowardly crime get theirs.
I'd love to hang them by their ***** and burn each hair on their body. One at a time.
Then throw them to the wolves or lowered into a pool of hungry sharks.
But, that would be to quick a death.

I have a lump in my throat .
It hit even harder when I got home from school and saw it on the t.v. and saw the jet striking the building .
It was strange today , Everything I put on including my booksack was red , white , and blue in color .I put all this on before I knew anything happened ...I'll continue to wear red white and blue the rest of this week .*** Bless America . Wayne

This is HORRIBLE. I don't see how anyone could possibly do this. Mike Moore **Mississippi's attorney general** has told the governor to issue a State Of Emergency. Gas prices are getting up high. $4.99 on County Line Rd.... $5.00 in starkville... I filled my Camaro up around 1:50 and it took $16 and still didn't fill up... I usually have to stop at $14 or $15. We watched the news all day at school. We flew our flag at half-mast at school. Now the gas stations are backed up for hours. Prices getting higher and higher...

OK don't flame me for this but... I was in the Navy for 2 years. The US is not prepared to handle this kind of attack and it proved it today. This could have and should have been discovered that the planes were hijacked. The ground controllers or the pilots should have done something to prevent this. They(the pilots) should have stalled the engines to shut them down mid air and sink the plane or the controllers should have realized what was going on and informed the military to be shot down.

I do feel sorry for the loss of life and loss of property, but america has had this coming for a long time. We have had numerous small attacks in the past(oklahoma city, the olympics, ect ect.) But nothing has been done to tighten secuity in the US to prevent future attacks. We have the general attitude that we are impervious and are "bullet" proof. We need to realize that we ARE part of the world and are not absent from being targeting for these types of attacks.

It's so hard to steer a plane away from a target like that.
NO TIME AT ALL TO REACT, ESPECIALLY WHEN YA NOTICE ANOTHER PLANE DOING THE SAME THING, heading for the populated area, like NYC.
The pilots/crew, one can only imagine what was happening.
Flip it around, it sounds like they (terrorists) were piloting the planes.
This is a new level of attacking. The weapons were knives.

For the first time, I wish I was young enough to be able to assist in a military/intelligence fashion.
To make up for the innonce they took from my One Year Old Son, today.
Silence, it hurts so much.

hmm 1 plane came from mass. and the other Newark so yes they(the pilots) had plenty of time to take the plane out. The terrorists used knives... umm hello the banging on the ****pit door and possible screaming should alert even a moron that something is up.

They could have easily gone full reverse throttle and the engines would have stalled in a matter of seconds. And as soon as the engines went into full reverse the plane go down very very quick. Quick enough that the terrorists could not have recovered the plane. Yes the pilot would have killer himself, crew and passangers but(think it was like 65) and 77 is better then 10's of thousands....

I was interested in becoming a A&P meac so I took a few courses... these "big Boys" are very easy to force down.
I know if I was the pilot I would know that I and the passengers were dead anyway so I would have done anything to keep the ground as safe as possible. You can go full reverse in 1/2 second and with the jolt of the deceleration the knife would have moved forward away from my neck then I would have nosed down and said my blessings.

And the planes hit 10 minutes apart so the second plane knew where/what it was going to hit... so it could have forced down into the river... Both planes were on the way to Cali... they know the heading they have to take. They know that when the terrorists say take this heading where they are heading. The Boston plane had plentyof time to force down. The Newark to S.F. had little time to react but still had the Hudson to go down in...

I am just pissed at the government fo allowing this to happen. Many Many countries have terrorist attacks and they have protocol to go to when it happens. Especially if the airliner is jacked. How much you wanna bet now the FFA is gonna have a standard "code" to know when a plane is being or is hijacked?. There could have been so much done to prevent this but nothing was done....

How do you know the pilots were even flying the planes? My guess is that they were dead before the heading changed. It doesn't take a whole lot of brains to fly a plane into a building.

I know that I could not do it but anyone that has ever flown a plane before could do a little research and learn to fly a jet into a building.

I know that I could not do it but anyone that has ever flown a plane before could do a little research and learn to fly a jet into a building.

I was terribly saddened by the tragedy today.
At 32 a man should be able to control his emotions ,but I fell short of just bursting in tears . I pray for the families whose loved ones had been ruthlessly taken by cowardly terrorists and for the emergency workers who risked their lives in the line of duty. The only glimmer of hope I have seen is the abilty of the community and the country to come together and help one another in tragic situations such as these.
*** , I love America for the Freedom ,Love of People , Freedom of Religeon and the Best Darn Sports cars in the World.
So posters instead of flaming each other , go and hug your wives, children , parents or whoever and be blessed that we're alive and healthy. *** Bless.

Yeah, the pilots were dead long before the planes crashed I'm sure. I think the only one that was able to do anything was the one in Pennsylvania, since it was ditched in an abandoned mine.

Apparently people were allowed to call their loved ones to say goodbye.

Some really good coverage is on TLC, the learning channel. They've got BBC America as their newsfeed.

CHD, This was a well executed planned attack.
As much as we would like to think what was happening or what we could have done or what we would do, only one plane had that chance to divert of an intended destination.

Be angry at the enemy.

They are now anywhere/everywhere and have been for awhile.

One thing I've noticed, all day, is NEVER a plane/****pit recording being released for airing.

You know if they can get 4 planes, what keeps them from getting more at 12 tomorrow, doesn't everybody think that they will high jack more planes when they can????

YES those pilots where died, no doubt about it, I mean no American would fly a plane into Americans, they would, like other people have said, crash the plane, thats what I think happen in PENN with that United flight, somebody crashed the plane becasue they where trying to get into the **** pit.

I just joined the Navy last Wednesday, now this comes up. Right now, I am one pissed off American. If I get the call that says I have to go early, I will be one HIGHLY pissed off,yet motivated, recruit. I want to be on the ship that launches the first attack on the responsible party and leaves them nothing more than a smoking hole in the ground. For those of you curious, I am going as a Hospital Corpsman (docotor) and leave on Jan. 24. So I still have some time... I am just thankful that I don't live in New York because my dad is a police officer and knowing the type of person he is, he'd be in one of the buildings...
I am proud to be going to serve my country, uphold the Constitution and all it stands for, protect my family, my friends, and all my f-body owning brothers and sisters!! May G o d bless America, and be with those who lost loved ones today.

I want to thank the moderators for keeping this thread open, and for everyone's replies and prayers. As horrible as this was, we have to be thankful that it didn't turn out worse. Those buildings were made 30 some years ago, and still managed to stand long enough to evacuate many within, rather than collaping on impact. Thank G O D , all the resucers, and all those involved in building the WTC for the lives that were saved. I also urge everyone who can to give blood, it is more important today than it ever has been, because now anyone across america who needs blood will not be getting any.
Thank you for listening to what i had to say.
-Carl

HI Billy,

THANK YOU for allowing this open opportunity for us to unite in............

AND THANKS TO ALL who offered some wonderful cheerfulness to me for the birth of my Son a year ago.

I REALLY APPRECIATED THOSE EXTRA MOMENTS OF YOUR THOUGHTS.

IF you do serve, decide to serve, have served, we all are serving/offering a bit of support in some small way, that hopefully will strenghten your personal efforts. It's time to support the Big Cheese in DC, now. Let them get us directed.

There is alot more info coming out about the attacks within the planes.

It's still silent in Southern California, no planes over my head.
It's still such a shock.
I just want to hold and hug my Wife and Son, alot.

I didn't vote for our president and I'm not sure on his policies... Even though he gets laughs from behind his back on everyday functions.... his words just seem to fit "We will hunt those down that did this" I don't think we could get a more patriotic president... I think there is credit due to the man with the hardest job on earth.

Despite all this happening ,I think we do need to be grateful for the wonderfull country we live in . Until a few years ago I did not realize this . I just took it for granted that we live in a country thats not always in war like others .We don't have to wake in the morning and worry about people hurling rocks at us or shooting us when we walk out the door .We have a wonderfull Army , Navy , etc protecting us .We have free speach ! WE'RE A FREE COUNTRY !!!! We can open our own businesses , WE CAN VOTE !!!We live in the best country in the world guys !!!! I LOVE IT ! Didn't realize how much loved it until I had to hear this .I woke up this morning , turned on the t.v. and started watching .The lump in my throat returned once again .I almost cried twice .Even though this has happened guys .I think we should be thankfull for our beautifull country. (I KNOW YOU ALL ARE THANKFULL , but just take a few min of your day and think about what I said , if you haven't yet .I'd like to also thank personally in this post any service men , troops. Also our policemen , firefightes that have served our country in the past , continue to serve it , and plan on it in the future .G o d Bless you , and G O D Bless you all . and G o d Bless all Americans .Thank you . Wayne

In the year of the new century and nine months, from the sky will come a great King of Terror...The sky will burn at fourty-five degrees [New York is at 40.5* latitude]. Fire approaches the great new city. The City of *** [New York] there will be a great thunder [collapsing of buildings], two brothers [World Trade Buildings] torn apart by chaos, while the fortress endures [Pentagon], the great leader will succumb [terrorist leader], the third big war will begin when the big city is burning [New York]."
-Nostradamus, 1654

Read it all closely

And take a look at this...

Kinda gets you thinking.... what the hell is going to happen?
