Searching for Suggestions for a S-10 Blazer Web site

I'm gonna swap the old toasted by chocolate milk (head gasket went) oil pump in my S-10 Blazer with another I've built.
In my Helms book for 1967 Camaros, it says one raises the engine, stick 2x4 in there to suspend the engine above the frame, to do oil pump swap. The pan can be removed this way.
In my Helms book for my Blazer, it only says drop pan, swap, reseal.
I DO NOT KNOW how lucky I can get, by raising engine, wedging in 2x4 then going to work AND DISCOVERING I'VE WASTED EFFORT, as I cannot completely remove the pan! Since I must work on the vehicle on the street, I do not want to be stuck mid project. I only want to start/finish. And not go "oh $hit!" & re goop up the pan and watch it sit, until I can get the engine up in the air by a cherry picker.
So, as I do here, I'm seeking higher knowledge.
My S-10 Blazer is the Firebird, in 2.8 engine ONLY. The rest of the vehicle is very unique.
So, that's what I'm after, a S-10 Blazer website for questions & answers.
MANY THANKS!!
Hey Tom, any idea about my high RPM first shift!!!!

I think it was s-10.4x4.com Pretty good site the last time I was there. It was more geared towards the 4X4 aspect but there was tech and engine sections too.

I tried several combos of your suggestion. One came up as a web hosting place!
That was fun, tho.
ANy other suggestions!
THANKS FOR TRYING!
IF I didn't have to work on the street or have to tow ($$) it someplace to do this pump swap, I wouldn't care IF I got stuck mid-stream.
But, Gotta do it on the street and I need a secure answer. Right now, I can move it back and forth (street sweeping), without any help. Was pushing it for about 2 months and that wasn't fun at all!

I found my solution.
I went to www.S-Series.Org
In fact, they even have this placed listed in "related car sites".
I posted my question and we'll see what happens.
Funny, there was a question with a problem I was having on my Blazer. This 1984 Blazer stalls sputters making LEFT turns only (no not right, left only). I told the person what to do. Rebuild the carb. Float level makes no difference neither does the float. My carb float after 211,500 miles was not leaky, nor incorrect height.
More the times change, more things are the same.
When I did my carb it had so much dirt and crap in it, I couldn't believe it ran or passed smog.
As an FYI, I used a Sorenson rebuild kit and a very knowledgable person. I've never done a carb before. I'd rather work on Fuel Injection any day of the years than carb rebuilds! Fuel Injection is so easy!

Thanks for the web site info Karl. Mine is a 92 4.3 so I don't worry about carb probs for it. What I will tell you is IF I ever swap engines again in one, for all the hassles and probs that SOB is getting a carbed V-8.

Check out the place. I got a great response in the 2.8/3.1/3.4 section.
They have a section dedicated to the 4.3 set up also.
IF I HAD YOUR VERSION, it'd have a 350 in a CHEVY Heartbeat!! It should be so easy!! Especially a TPI set up! Now, that's sweet lookin set up. I have the JTR book and I WAS gonna do a V-8.
Even have a 12 bolt axle for that swap. BUT, now gonna do a 3.4 swap and selling the 12 bolt axle from that V-8 project.
I think I now know whre to post that item for sale. It was on ebay, but no takers.
Here's the ad-
