oh my god i finally saw one!!!

on Saturday, i went to Fastlane (a place in ST. Louis that sells classic muscle cars, and some older imports "not ricers") anyway, i asked the guy up there if he had seen any 89TTA's recently, and the guy said he hadn't, although i already knew that they hadn't ever had one up there for sale. Anywhoot, i walked outside, and sitting across the street is this what T/A, i notice these little goldish colored tags on the side of it, and go, "Dear God!" well, i walked over, and the sides say Turbo Trans Am, it had the Turbo emblem on the hood too. The car was a T-top model, with leather interior, it was beautiful. I mean, mint condition, not a stretch mark on the seats, the tops were off, so i didn't see them, 140mph dash, a crap load of controls on the steering wheel, and turbo tags on both front fenders, the front facia, and the taillights center cap. It was beautiful, i never thought there were any left in St. Louis since i hadn't ever seen one, but now i know... There's around.

OH, and in the new Hemmings theres one for sale for like 7,800 or so. Looked decent in the pic. anyway, just thought i'd share my elation.

Sweet. There's only ONE reason I'm keeping it unlocked. If anyone can find something he described that didn't come STOCK on the TTA's, post. What color was it? both int, and ext.

Is this a trick question? I was personally unaware of any hood or taillight tags, but the T-tops, interior, and pimped dash are all stock to my knowledge.

Well, the only thing he listed that isn't stock is the turbo hood emblem, but maybe he meant the emblem on the nose???

There's one I see at UMass almost every day....lives in the same building as my girlfriend. Its in nice shape, but the guy yanks on it all the time. It sounds WEIRD. It sounds like a 2.8 with Flowmasters, with a high-pitched turbo whistle, unlike anything I have ever heard. Definitely different...

YOu know, mine at idle sound like a 305 with stock exhaust. Though it defenitly sound like a V6 in the upper Rpms with a nice Turbo whine. Everytrhing sound about stock, the special emblems stock were, Gold 20th annniversiary embles on the nose and sail apnels, Turbo Trans Am on the Front fenders, Pace car decals on the door(optional, cam in owners pack), Pontiac windshield decal with INdy 500 stickers on each side, and a different taillight center section with a white bird outlined in gold with a Turbo decal where the reflector normally is. I think that covers everything. All else he mentiond was stock.

Hood is same as regular T/A or GTA, Two front non functional vents and two side non functional vents. No special emblems or anything.

sorry guys, didn't mean hood, but the front facia piece "nose". The hood looks just like every other T/A out there. Well, every other 85-90, anywhoot. But yeah, it had the gold emblem on the "nose" of the car, with TurboTrans Am on the sides. The center of the rear though, didn't have a bird on it, at least i don't think so, instead it was just black, and at the bottom said turbo.

Don't forget the white door handles and the back seats have the headrests.
