They do a ZZ4 into a 1986 Camaro.

Too bad it the donor car isn't a V6 car, that would make things a lot more interesting. I wouldn't mind seeing them do a twin turbo 60* V-6 engine....

Our V-6's do comprise a very large portion of the 3rd Gen road population.
As an FYI, my swap was 100% illegal. I down graded a late model engine, by using the 1985 Fuel Injection unit on a 1995 block. I was supposed to have used a 3.4 injection system with the swap I did.
Not much one can legally do to the old 3.1/2.8. 1993 & above 3.4 & the later 3.8, sure lots of tricks to do that would be a V-6 article and smog legal. It would be a good article.

I love being from Va... we don't have emissions... (Well, Spostylvania...Stafford has them) So, my swap is totally legal. It's great.

I just read that ZZ4 swap article too. I've been dreaming on and off over the past couple years about buying a 4bbl Z or IROC and ordering that Camaro performance package.
Problem is though, that package is about $5,000. So, you buy a rough Z for $2, spend $5 on the parts, and what do you have? A $2,000 Z that goes like stink, but still looks like its $2,000. Add another $3k for interior, exterior and suspension restoration, and for $10,000 you have a car that can keep up with an LS1.
But take that same $10,000 and buy a mint, low, mileage, original 350 TPI third gen, and you got a much better car...just my opinion.
