Yeah buddy I got my Camaro today!

Its beat up and stuff but workable. My friend thought it was VERY good for $600. 73k miles. I have a spare clutch for it I'm gonna have installed when I get back from my vacation.
Most of the car works, well, exept I cant get my ECM to flash error codes and a few gauges dont work... The dude that owned the car before the guy I baught it from was a nut!

First thing that I would do would be, look the whole car over, from top to bottom, to find out anything you dont already know about it. Then I would do a tune up and fix any problems that you have with it. Then when everything is done, got for the mods!

Any other opinions?

Car: 1986 Firebird
Engine: 2.8 V6
Transmission: 700R4
Cool! Good buy!

The ECM won't flash? How's the fuel-pump/ECM fuse? That's one of the ones on the passenger-side upper frame rail, under the hood, towards the front of the car. Do you get the SES light on when you turn the key from "off" to "run" (not crank)?

Car: '99 Trans Am, '86 Camaro
Engine: LS1, Scrap
Transmission: T56, T5
Axle/Gears: 3.42 Stock ZT, 3.42 Open
As far as the ecm, if it runs, it's probably just the bulb, or I'd be very worried about how it manages to run =P
