Fiero Throttle Bodies

The Fiero throttle body is better than ours right? If so would it be worth putting one on a v6? And would it go on both the 2.8L and 3.1L? How much difference would you be able to tell? And where do you get it at?

Ok I just went to this site and they have a big bore throttle body for the 85-88 Fiero. The only thing is that the throttle body is $199 and then the site has a core charge that is another $100. Here is what they say about it.....

This throttle body has a 3mm larger bore size than the stock. Together with a new throttle plate, throttle shaft bushings, and a re-machined idle air control valve seat, the performance throttle body will flow much greater air than the stock unit. You must also add part #57509 to your order, which will be refunded upon return of your old throttle body, provided that it is in rebuildable condition.

Is it worth it. And I dont think the Fieros had a 3.1L and I do so does that mean it wont fit or work on my car?

I wouldn't say it's a bad idea, or that it could hurt things... but $300's alot of cash. Have you covered all the other mods in that range?

Oh and AFAIK, the 3.1 throttle body's the same as the 2.8 throttle body. I mean, both have to bolt up to the plenum, and that didn't change, right?

You could probably find a 2.8 f-body motor in a junkyard to compare yours with. Actually maybe you'll find a Fiero TB hanging around!

So that big bore throttle body would be worth it? And it wouldnt be much of a hassle to replace would it?
