What size tyres do you use on your v6 ?
mine are shot, now stock should be 215/65 15 but the guy before me fitted 235/60 front and 255/60 back, the backs are way too big and has changed the gearing too much, as well as a love or hate it look.
i am interested to see what the v6ers are using as too wide and our weaker engines struggle, too thin and well it just dont handle right does it ?
i used to buy 1 profile lower than stock for all my cars, 225/60 would be a smidge under stock diameter, provide a more drivable car gearing wise with good acceleration and have a little more grip than stock.
i need some pics to see how these different varients look ?????

Stock size (215/65/15) all the way around. Front sits too high due to no A/C and no 700R4 anymore, but new springs will change that, and the rear is low due to sagging springs.
Bought the car with 195/65/15s on the front and 235/60/15s on the rear. Fronts were junk and went ASAP due to the fact that neither held air very well, and the rears were a full traction grade lower (B) and had to go after losing the rear end after a rain storm. And the fact that they had a nail in one of them (blasted neighbor!).
The 235s would probably be decent for the rear... They're within specs for diameter and won't change the speedo reading, but they are slightly smaller than the 215s.

225/60/15 only because it's getting more difficult to find decent width tires for 15" wheels anymore without being overly large or drag radials.

jakemussman, 295 ? is that on stock rims ? my 255's look like they are pushing the limits of the rim width. your tyres are massive my man !!

Sorry, had it backwards, but it's only 1/10 of an inch difference, 215/65 is 26" and 235/60 is 26.1". The 235/55s may impact your speedo reading, being 25.2" in diameter. I've read that anything within a 1/2" of stock tire diameter is acceptable for the proper speedo reading, without recalibration.

Re: What size tyres do you use on your v6 ?
Stock was P215/65r15 on stock 15x7 rims at all four corners.
Then I kept front as P215/65r15 but changed the rears to P245/60r15, all used the same rims, added air shocks in rear.
Next was P225/60r15 front 15x7 rim, and P255/70r15 rear 15x8 rim (yes those are much taller (raised effective gear ratio) and wider), same air shocks.
Right now I'm at P225r15 front 15x7 rim, and P245/60 rear 15x8 rim; lowered with Suspension Tech v6 front/rear springs (no more air shocks! Normal KB dampers all around) and full ES suspension bushings on front. I think this is the look I'm staying with- especially b/c it's amazing in the corners.
Just a couple of changes through the years

On my car I'm running 215/65-15 all around and on my old firebird I had 235/60-15 all around and had slight rubbing on the inside when I'd steer almost all the way to either side but I sure liked the look of the wider tires.

Re: What size tyres do you use on your v6 ?
I've got 235/60/15s on the back of mine. I'd like to go wider...might go with 16s, some day.
