Engine wont run past ~3k rpms/ 30mph in 2nd and 3rd
driving fine one day when the car feels like it down shifted or bogged out. still was running but hitting the throttle wasnt doing anything until the car slowed down enough. then it ran fine up until that point again. its like an engine shut off at 120mph but its happening at around 30- or when it feels like its about to shift into 3rd.
driving in first gear you can take it to any rpm and any speed no problem
driving in 2nd and 3rd the engine will cut out at about that same point.
i dont know if its the rpms or the mphs that is causing the engine to stop running. idles and runs fine. accelerates just fine up until that certain point then just stops going. engine never stalls or anything.
any help?
3.1 v6 700r4. both seem to run strong- bad sensor perhaps??

Is your SES light comming on? I had a similar issue and it turned out to be the knock sensor it took forever just to get to 30 mph.

Hmmmm..... Have you checked the timing? Is the trans slipping? Disconnect the battery for 30 mins re connect it and take it for a drive see if that changes anything.
