Oil Pan help
Well i was looking under my car with ramps and i saw that the oil pan had some oil drips waiting to drop... i figured its a leak somewhere because i remebered that the oil pan fell on top of the cross member when i was removing the engine to redo it. so i am assuming the leak is somewhere between the bottom of the the pan and above the cross member. how do i fix it. do i have to remove the pan and if so how???? also the sway bar is getting oil drips as well. i need help

Re: Oil Pan help
Depending on where the leak actually is, your problem is either the front main seal in the timing cover, the timing cover gasket, or some portion of the oil pan gasket. The timing cover can be removed with the engine right as it is. The oil pan, however, requires almost complete removal of the engine as the clearance underneath the pan and the engine is so small.

Re: Oil Pan help
You need to pull the A/C compressor from the engine (don't need to do anything special, just unbolt it and set it aside, if equipped), the power steering pump (same thing), the water pump (drain coolant... good time to change the coolant), the crank pulley, and the damper from the front of the engine. The timing cover gasket SHOULD come with the front oil seal and the replacement water pump gasket if you get the right set (I got a FelPro set when I did mine).
