Just curious how many of you have needed to replace your fuel pressure regulator? and what was your car doing before you replaced?

I just replaced mine on Saturday. My car was boging down on me, though it was the regulator but still seems to be doing it. FYI You'll need some tamper proof torque bits to complete the job

Had it off a few times. I don't remember why I had it off the first time when I was doing the 3.4 swap.
Second time I was losing fuel pressure fast. Finally found if I pinched the return line closed, it held pressure. I replaced the regulator and it still leaked. Had to actually replace the fuel rail itself.

Re: Fuel Pressure Regulator...how many of you have replaced this?
I'm about to replace mine in the coming week. I'm having fuel problems, and changing my fuel filter tomorrow, then if that doesn't fix it, I'm doing the whole fuel rail system. Manual says in the 2.8/3.1 the fuel pressure regulator and fuel rail has to be replaced in whole or the FPR will be damaged or something to that extent, I'll edit this post once I read the manual again. I'll let you all know how mine works afterwords!

BAAA!! They just want you to spend $300 on a new rail instead of $15 (or whatever it was) on just the pressure regulator. The rubber diaphram is kinda delicate. Just do it carefully and you'll be good.
