Buick 3.8 V6 OBDI EFI?

Buick 3.8 V6 OBDI EFI?
I was wondering if I could use ECM 1227727, on a Buick V6. I'm currently using ECM 1227065. I know there wire harness is NOT pin for pin. I was wondering if the injector drivers of ECM 1227727 would be OK with the late 80's Buick V6 injectors? I have an Ostrich 2.0 PROM emulator, so I was thinking I could start tuning the Buick V6 with a 3.1 V6 bin file and make changes (displacement, injector flow, ect) from there. The Buick ECM 1227065 uses a distributor (with a 7 pin ignition module) for triggering the ECM. Would the 1227727 ECM work with triggering form a distributor using a 7 pin ignition module?
ECM 1227065 is a Mass Air Flow Sensor system, I want to convert to ECM 1227727 so I can use a less expensive, and readily available MAP sensor.
Thanks,
dave w

Re: Buick 3.8 V6 OBDI EFI?
The Buick uses "peak and hold" injectors that are not compatible with Chevy computers.
The good news is that the Chevy injectors go right in where the Buick injectors once were. I have found chevy 305 TPI injectors work well for the 3.8 Buick and fit the factory fuel rail nicely.
Good luck on your swap! Keep us posted on the results!
