Any 85-86 2.8 pics of the driver's side engine wiring harness?

Hey guys, long time no post... can anyone take a quick picture of the engine wiring harness between the driver's exhaust manifold and firewall? I had the whole harness out over 10 years ago, and the wires from the oil pressure switch have gotten pretty well cooked. I'd like to hang them the way the factory did to keep them from melting any more; but I don't have a pic or a diagram.

My memory (and my car, ha, ha) is a bit rusty, but I think only the '85-86 years had two sensors on the oil filter mount (one for the gauge/dash, one for the pump safety switch); that's the routing picture I'd need.

Or were the single-sensor 2.8's wires routed the same way?

Thanks!!

Thanks Chris, it does! I didn't know the wires are supposed to go forward! Mine curve backward and hang over the exhaust pipe- maybe that's why they're melting, huh? How do those wires get to the firewall?

they swing under the oil pan in a big black covering, then go toward the left side of the pan and swing into the firewall.

P.S. they're should be a black clip and a little hole in the engine motor mount (not the rubber mount itself, the metal peice on the engine that goes on the mount) the wires are held there, if not remove both through bolts, and lift the engine and wire something up to keep them wires safe!

Thanks, Chris! (Sorry for the super-late reply) That must be an '88 difference then, my wires have nowhere near enough slack to accomplish that. Mine come out of the main engine harness that strings across the firewall, and hang right between the engine block and exhaust pipe.

I wonder though if I could extend the wires to have them route the way that yours do...

Oh hey man, sorry I can't make it tonight; do you guys usually go on Friday nights? I can't race but I could come in as a spectator.

^ Oh definitely, whenever you can come down there Tom. There's a whole bunch of us I'd like to introduce to one another. Even when we spectate, we hang out in the pits, as well as in the lines datalogging. You really need to see what Dave was able to do with the 3.1 in person, these videos simply don't do it any justice. There's a guy bringing his TTA that he bought from my buddy Shawn who is running his T-Type tonight. It's going to be awesome to watch the 3.1 turbo Camaro up against the 3.8 TTA. Collectively, there's about twenty of us tonight, w/the Buicks being the majority, unfortunately lol....
