Part identity help? Check valve off the back of the plenum
Hi all,
So I found my vacuum leak that was causing me trouble today. The check valve off the back of the plenum - splitting into the lines for cruise control and for climate control - fell apart in my hands.
Anybody have a part name for this?
Forgive my leet mspaint skillz - heres where it goes:
Do we have a name for this or will just "vacuum check valve" do?
You can see how it broke - both nipples just kinda disintegrated.
Any problem with running the car without the valve? I've removed cruise a while back, so I unhooked the cruise vac line, and plugged in the climate control stuff directly. I suppose I could just cap this line off and hope it doesn't rain so I'd need the defroster - won't be able to get to the yard till next weekend I'm afraid. I've got it patched with some misc stuff I have, but it isn't the greatest. I suppose it'll work well for a week like this - a test drive revealed no ill effects so far, and my original problem is fixed (bogging, stuttering, seems like my car has pussified 1000%, etc)
I'm in south florida so no need for heat either.
