If an injector goes bad you have a dead miss, or 3 cylinders dead miss, if they leak you'd get fouled plugs. Based on the description I'd suspect the fuel pump, but if you say you can hear it running... I'd be pulling plugs to check them for fouling and spark. Codes might also tell you whats up.

changed fuel pump, fuel filter, sounds like it wants to fire but dosnt, pulled plugs really black. cleaned them up checked spark, spark was yellow i dont know if that matters. checked for codes like the manual states only got the code 12. any help woulld greatly be appreceated....

Car: only GM,88 camaro, 91r/s camaro, 91
Engine: Clean oil, looks fresh, no leaks
Transmission: Bright Red, never burnt, no leaks
Axle/Gears: currently whining
i dont know if this helps but here is the code and what it says
>>>(23.Low temperature at manifold air temperature sensor OR Throttle position sensor error)
in other words the map sensor or tps throttle position secsor needs to be replaced or is bad .... try cleaning the tps ...
the tps can be tested at autozone .... but testing it can be tricky
another thing is your egr valve could need replacing as well

sounds like the ignition module has faulted. they usually go when the engine warms up. the car dies and then when it cools off and you go back to it later it starts and runs fine until it warms up. does your engine have a distributor or coil packs? i forget if you can check to see if it working by checking injector pulse and spark. usually if it starts when cold and dies when the engine warms up, module is a good suspect. if that doesn't work, when it dies, find the computer and bang on it when cranking.
Good luck

Have you checked fuel pressure yet?..port is at the back of the intake.sounds like a bad fuel pressure regulator..The regulator is under the front of plenum.Has a vacuum line running to it,pull the line off and see if any fuel comes out.If it does its ruptured needs to be replaced..a fuel gauge is a little more accurate, pressure needs to be in specs.Check that out and let us know..possibly give us the fuel pressure with key on and with it running if it starts..
