Me vs MKIV Supras do I have a chance with my V6 lol

I just bought my 1992 Chevy Camaro RS a week ago. A week before that my friend bought a MKIV Supra N/A. He says he can beat my Camaro w/ no mods. Unfortunally my camaro is sick and runs like crap lol. In my little town of 5000 people in Wyoming we got 2 MKIV Supras here, my friend's N/A Supra and his friends MKIV Twin Turbo Supra. Should I put money in my V6 or save up to buy a LS1?

Dont throw money at the V6 unless you're just trying to be different. You won't go fast unless you go pretty extreme. I'd save up for an LS1 if you're trying to go fast and you've got those two options. That or get a Cobra and do a kb swap so your handle matches your car.

I could bore out my V6 into a bigger one, it will be cheap since my grandfather owns a machine shop. Add a twin turbo setup or a supercharger/procharger. and it could be fast. btw my friend is 15 and owns a MKIV supra lol

Ya the block got 124k miles on it, and 1992 was a bad year for the 3rd gen camaro since my camaro has a microchip in its key and takes forever to start, feels like i'm starting a diesel truck. i'll save up and buy a LS1 block and bore that out

It's not a microchip, It's a resistor and if you do a search here you can see how to by-pass it. Mine's a 90 w/ the resistor and it doesn't cause me any problems.

To put an ls1 is going to cost you about 5 times as much as getting a v6 and turbo it. People are always selling v6's after a v8 swap ($100-$200), ask around.

I guess your definition of extreme might be different than mine *shrug*

Why is your turbo kit $2,800 if it costs you $900.

cause i built mine with used parts(not all),parts cost me 900 if u had to add in labor and fab work it would total over 3,200 if u had to pay somone to do it
the kits i sell are made from all new parts and are a full complete bolton kit,not oh now i need to get these clamps or these injectors etc.bolt on in a day and drive it.beside si gota make some sort of money on it,even at 2,800 i dont make much money on it,i have alot of hours in each kit between all the welding and hand fabed parts
