no more 3.4 going to 4.3 vortec/turbo
im not even gonna drop my 3.4 motor in the car.i had goten an offer from a friend to buy the engine for a really good price so im getting rid of it,and since i refuse to drop in a v8 in this car.i bought a 4.3 vortec engine.
my plans are staying the same though.MPFI/turbo with megasquirt.i will deffinatly be documenting this build/swap over the winter.
as far as me selling and producing various parts for the 60* engines.i am going to continue with all i had planed(and im going to buy another 2.8/3.1 car just for testing/building purposes).i have just finished up the first upper manifold, and should be taking the car for some dyno tests soon( i had a lil accident with the car,and need to take care of some body repair work first)
as far as the 4.3 it looks liek ill be using and aftermarket 4bbl manifold drilled for FI with a 4bbl throttle body.though im gonna have to check out some clearance issues first,if its gonna be as close as i think its gonna be ill be going with a custom sheetmetal manifold with a tpi/or ls1 tb
and im still undecided on a transmission, but i do have a v8 t5/a built v8 700r4 and a stock 2004r laying around, more then likly i will build up the 2004r,or build up a th350,since hardparts/converters are very cheap to buy for it vs the 700/200

sy/ty's are injected, yes. They run what appears to be a TPI throttle body. My boss and I have been helping a guy make some parts for his (he has one of each).

actually everyone ive talked to has recomended i ditch the 2004r for a powerglide with a transbrake instead, supposedly a 4.3 vortec with ported heads and boost should make like 600+hp.i just dont think that a powerglide is gonna be something i want to deal with in my daily driver
lol i like being able to run 4:10s and still get dam good gas milage

those grand nat'ls & tt/a's seem to be able to use those 2004rs.
obtw, is the 3.4 4th gen project on the back burner now?
