21 lb accel injectors

I just had to replace the injectors on my 3.1. I stupidly purchased the 21 instead of the 15. They are already installed, and rather than having to worry about selling these off and buying the 15's I'd like to try and leave them in. Car idle's fine and accelerates nicely under normal throttle pressure, however, as soon as I go WOT the car bogs down and cannot regulate the fuel correctly. Has anyone used 21lb injectors, if so, did you get a custom chip for it?? I really would just rather make these work instead of going through the hastle of taking them out again.

you HAVE to have a custom chip for that. part throttle will be fine but WOT will not. it is going very, very, very rich.

So your "heavily modded 3.4" is going to make less than 200 crank HP?

21lb/hr injector will support approx 33 HP x6 equals approx 200 HP.

I guess my 32lb/hr injectors that I need are just over kill.

5.0 Mustangs (215-225hp) came with 19lb injectors, and they aren't an issue til around 300hp NA. Redraif's injectors are 19lb Fords out of a Crown Vic (cleaned by Rich), and even with a big cam and head work the car is still rich, and needed programming to clean things up. 21s would be good for a mild turbo application maybe. A boosted engine puts greater demand on the whole fuel system, including the injectors, so a much larger injector than NA is required, even at similar power levels...so no, I don't think 32lb injectors are at all overkill for Raven's app.
