gm repair manual even says no testing, no service required. I boght a 200 bux one, it lasted about 6 months, exchanged it under warrany. that one blew a few months outta warranty.
So now I get the code daily. I blow it off, im not paying that for it.

mine was fixed by simply cleaning the plunger, and repairing the tubes. i just took them off one at a time so i knew where they went back, and blew throught them to get the crap out, and to see if there was any leaks.
i also cleaned that crinkle cut french fry looking tube that goes back to the intake

theres also an egr solonoid there.
those can be had for free at the wreckers if the problem persists.
dont forget to clear the code after you fix it for a test run

Only the older UFO style egr's have a solonoid. The 3.1 digital ones are just that, all digital.

bad news i didn't get a code 32 but i did get a code 22 which doesn't make sense because that to my knowledge wouldn't make the car backfire at all and espically since i just replaced it about 6 months ago
oh yea and also i have a slightly modified chip in my car (bought it like that) not sure what exactly was done with it, now is this the same chip that would be replaced if i replaced my ECU or ECM because i like the performance that the chip gives the car and i don't want to lose it
