Anybody, what do you think you could get, or what you would pay for an 86 Firebird with the 2.8 MPFI v6. Good over all condition body and interior wise, lots of new engine parts, but doesnt run quite right?

Car: 1988 Chevy Camaro Hardtop
Engine: Turbocharged/Intercooled 3.1
Transmission: World Class T5 5 Speed
Doesn't run right? What do you mean by that? Driveable, I'd say $1000-$1500, in decent condition (might need a cleaning on the interior, and a coat of paint)

If it's undriveable, $800-$1000 tops.

Car: 1989 Pontiac Firebird
Engine: 2.8L V6
Transmission: 700r4
Well, I paid $950 for mine and all it needed was a radiator (old one had a hole in it) and an idler arm. Paint still in good condtion, engine using no oil, and the tranny shifted fine. Tires were pretty used though. It had like 140,000 miles when I got it, it has 152,000 now and I Kelley Blue booked it (1989 Pontiac Firebird, Private party sale, 2d hatchback, 2.8L v6, Auto, T-Bar roof, CD player, A/C, Power steering, Tilt steering wheel, 152,000 miles, and in 'Good' Condition) and they said it was worth $1, 590. The Formula (same condition, options, and Mileage, with base engine, 5.0 V8) booked at 1,815. The Trans Am (5.7L TPI v8, same options ect) booked at 2,165 and the GTA at 2,300.

Kelly bluebook lists my Camaro private party resale value at $2,050.

Think anyone would give me $4100 for it?

I'm just kidding around.
On a serious note though, And many here may not understand until I explain-
I would seriously turn down a $20,000 cash offer for this car. I would have to think about a $25,000 offer because it would take alot of work to buy another V6 and build it back identical to what I have. I did this because it is what I wanted and I have about 20K into it.

For $20,000, or even 25,000, what the hell else would I buy that is personalised, one-of-a-kind looking(meaning there is not another car on the road identical that could pull up next to me at a stoplight), would handle and stop the way this car does, and act as a daily driver with decent mileage, cheap on insurance and gas, reliable reliable reliable, not another start from scratch project to get a car back to this level of performance, and lastly becoming a classic aproaching 25years old meaning it is increasing in value where anything new will just depreciate.

Really, what could I buy for $20,000 to replace or better this cars looks and performance and above all its projected cosdt of operation over the next 10 years?

PVt, Congradulation on the TTA acquire.
