3.1L Owners Needed!

Okay, I have had a 3.1L dropped under the hood of my '87 due to the old 2.8 blowing up. The shop had to use the 2.8L emissions crap and all of that jazz and now I have no cruise and I have a pesky code 32 (EGR) due to the fact that the vacuum valve doesn't have a line on one side of it. Also, the purge valve on the charcoal canister has a line on it which is not hooked up. (Hell, the idiot left the HVAC disconnected and I am going to be needing heat soon, but I fixed that already )

I need a 3.1L vacuum hose routing sticker pic or a diagram so I have something to work with.

Also, the engine seems to like to stall within a minute of first starting when you put it in gear unless you hold the RPM's at about 2000 or so for about 10-20 seconds, and even then it will try to stall. Now, this engine was acquired from a junkyard, and I am guessing that the injectors are probably clogged. However, this engine, according to the guy who worked on it (never had to work with a carb so I dunno), starts like it has a carb. Will an in-tank injector cleaner help this out? I don't have the time to send the injectors out to Cruizin Performance, and I would rather not spend $70 for Monro to do the job unless I absolutely have to... moving to Ohio this week and I need the car.

Got any pics? I have to have something to work with. Right now it looks like I have to T the larger diameter vac line coming from the 2.8L upper plenum T for the cruise and vac tank, and T one of the hard lines running off of the TB (similar to the 2.8) for both the purge valve and EGR crap...

Suggestions needed!

Sounds like you need the vaccum digram for a 2.8L. The 3.1L used a digital EGR valve that did not a vaccum line. The 3.1 is just a stroked 2.8. So if you he used all of the 2.8 top end componets you will need to setup it up like the 2.8

Okay, late nite brain fart. I figured out what I have to do now...
Seems like I have to run a hard plastic line from the 3.1 throttle body across to the vac regulator valve, which get's T'd to the evap can. Then, using a T for the larger diameter hose, I have to T-off of the main line running to the evap can from the back of the 2.8 upper plenum (the main part that was reused along with the EGR crap), and then T again through a check valve/reducer for the HVAC control head...

Correct me if I am wrong... anybody...

Also, this time I'd REALLY like to buy the right diameter hose. I bought one size too small for the smaller hose before and that was a PITA to run (and probably a restriction), and I can't for the life of me remember the size of the larger hose, plus I have never had to buy the hard lines so I don't know what size that is.

'Kay guys, new prob.. Stalls when cold but if you step on the gas and hold the revs at about 2000 PRM for about 10 sec the engine goes just fine. This is only when cold, it does not do this when hot nor does it stall when hot...

I already have most of the plastic lines gone BTW... they're mostly rubber hose connected by plastic...

P.S> dumping in a bottle of injector cleaner seems to have helped a little bit b/c it got the hold revs time down to 10 sec from 20 sec...

IIRC the '87s have a cold start injector which the 3.1l does not have. If I am correct then 3 choices: swap the intake to the 2.8l setup with the cold start injector, swap to a newer ECM that the 3.1l uses (cold start built in with the 6 injectors), or, last, well, it is just going to be that way.

RBob.
