?'s for anyone who has done an auto->T5 swap in a v6

I have a few questions about and auto-T5 swap. I got my tranny from a v6 car but was wondering if the rear end gears are the same or different. I dont want to put the tranny in and have the overall first gear so high i cant pull out.

Secondly, I read the tech article on doing this but still have a few questions. Where do I find the wires for the clutch safety switch? the tech article said that his were wired up under the dash but where are they typically found? Do you have to cut them from anything? or are they just hanging there loose?

Third, similar to the neutral switch, where do I find the wires for the reverse lights? Are they connected to the auto tranny on the auto like they are on a manual?

1: need to know what year your car is and need to know the numbers on the ID tag on the T5

2: I've heard the clutch saftey switch wires have a tendancy to be just hanging there... if not, reroute the wires from your old park/neutral saftey switch on the shifter switch. I'll post wire colors tonight.

3: Reverse switch is also part of the shifter switch. You'll have to cut and splice the wires and add the connector for the T5. I'll post wire colors tonight.

Cross-reference the transmission ID and note that one has a 4.03 first gear.. the highest first gear ratio you could possibly get. Also, in '87, both manual and auto cars got a 3.42 rear.. if anything, first gear will be an absolute granny gear, however, this is the way it was designed.

Thanks a lot tech smurf, you helped me out a lot.
BTW, does anyone know how many quarts or fluid a non-WC T5 takes?
