Car: Firebird 89' and Formula 87
Engine: 2.8 l and 350 v8
Transmission: 2.8 Manual 5 speed and 5.7 manual 5 speed
would my v6 2.8 firebird support a turbo charger?
I own a 89' firebird v6, the engine is in good condition and I would like to know if it supports a turbo charger.
any ideas.

it should, alot of fiero owners have turbo 2.8's running like 6psi of boost on stock bottom ends, which is definatly a noticable improvement.
The Compression ration is really too high too support much more than that, and if you wanted to run any high amount of boost, to at least get forged pistons. The connected rods and crank should hold up to a decent amount of power due to the cranks short stroke.
One person made 400ft/lbs of torque on the stock bottom end of his 3.4.
